Anybody else notice that Chad is selling everything? Does this mean he is hanging it up?

I'm guessing he's just downsizing. I wonder if maybe he's going to relocate the family to California? He doesn't really need his compound if he rides SX only, and being based on the west coast is probably easier overall for SX.

Hard to tell I saw a 09 motor home and that all his 18 bikes are sold. Maybe just upgrading to a new motor home and some 2019s soon?‍♂️

You don’t really need the motor home for Supercross only, especially since his team uses a garage coach which is basically a smaller motor home up front. I don’t think he used his motor home much this year because of that. Bike-wise, they’re selling all his 18s as he has his RE edition 18 bikes and soon it be 19s to ride.

As for relocating to SoCal, that’s a hard no. He has no real reason to be out here. He has a shop on his property that they run the team out of and a few of his main guys are back there. It would be way harder logistically to come out West full-time.

The Shop

Then why is he selling his property if he runs the team from there?

Could be simply downsizing I would think. Selling the bikes is a no Brainer as he did this with his previous team. With financing a second team and wanting I what I would assume 1-2 more years, he could probably do that with using existing facilities instead of maintaining and paying property taxes since there are so many not only on West coast but also east coast.

Would love to see him out a few more times. I think any team would benefit from having his fan draw. He's at that stage that Windham was at I 2012

It seems like they are cutting expenses, since money is tight.

His wife has made a few comments about their financial hardships.

I don't think Reed has millions in the bank like he used to.

Chad got a contract extension and is now living in the infield of random stadiums. He's calling it the "CR22 VIP Homeless Living Experience"

I don't think moving to somewhere like California is out of the question. If I was him now, I'd be thinking about where I want my kids to grow up. It definitely wouldn't be the ass-end of Florida.

Maybe he dislikes his neighbors? I’ve heard that there have been issues.

Probablly he realises he wont get to retire with another podium or win riding with Chiz at his camp. He should be the "Jason Thomas" of a top guy now, for his own good.

Did they ever get that whole issue about him using his property to ride/practice and the neighbor complaints settled? Maybe he's getting out because he's tired of dealing with that mess?
