Might have to go put that mikuni back on. I have a strong pipe/silencer combo and port work, and I run quality gas/oil. What are your Mikuni settings? I say this because I've actually had a semi tough time with my PWK.

The E/backwards 3 really spoils the look of the whole bike for me. I've been seeing the bike on instagram quite a bit recently and I just can't get over how it looks with that E, it just stands out so much and everything about it looks wrong. The rest of the bike looks nice.

I like the E. Makes you stand out. What's the story behind it? Do you put number 3 down when you race and hope they get it right? Tongue

Loading up, won't idle well, wants to die. It's been a pretty constant problem. Some days it runs okay, but most of the time it is a chore. And this problem has persisted thru changes I've made, its not just a seal or leak somewhere, that I can tell. Could be electrical, possibly.

Sounds like there might be more to it. It was the best thing I ever bolted onto my bike. Have you asked any of the guys in race shop about it?

Yup. So hard to diagnose a bike on the internet.

Grizz, A really good buddy of mine blessed (cursed) me with the moniker in the 80's and it just stuck. I like it because its different. I am trying to get Eli to run it. His parents call him E. I think its what he needs to get a run goingTongue

When I race which is a blue moon, I run the E bike. Scorers get it, and transponders aren't dyslexic.

I wish, I wish that instead of having 250 and 450 4 strokes, the classes would be 150 and 300 2 strokes!!

Awesome build! Glad you went to vital to do a video it was great to hear about this bike. I know the last Honda CR250R wasnt received to well, but as long as you sort a few things out it is a very good bike. Surprised the pipe did so much for the bike. I thought you would of had to do motor work and possibly swap out the carb to get the power band the way you did.

What kind of mods did it take to make that KTM engine fit the CRF chassis?

I did not "come up" with it, Randy Blevens did. It's his baby.

a lot of...
the hole for swingarm in the chases must be from 15mm to 17mm wider
the swingarm must be drilled because the case is 100mm an the swingarm is 95mm
all enginemounts must be new.

it tooks me about 18 moth to build it.
