Also, she's got nothing going on in the breasticle area.

i still love my 04 yz125 and cant imagine ever getting rid of it. i love the 5 speed tranny better than the 6 speed that comes on 05 and up. i will say if you break 3rd gear tranny then replace both 3rd gears. i learned this the hard way when my tranny snapped off 3rd gear teeth and i only replaced that specific gear; 2 months later my accompanying 3rd gear lost its teeth also. and watch the shift forks for bends

What's your opinion of that rear tire?

pirelli tire hooks up darn well here in florida. i noticed it when i got to tracks such as bostwick, pax and hilliard that i was getting more pull up to certain jumps out of corners (coming from brig 403/404's) and probably another bike-length distance. hell i even have rode it at hardrock in ocalla.

here is my plane jane ride. 04 yz125, last year of yamaha steel frame and 5 speed gearbox. I still prefer the 5 speed over the 6 speed ones i have rode because my gears can pull longer and less shifting. one thing i have never preferred about this bike is the week front break! It's mushier than a gay guy at a Barbra Streisand concert.

Thanks for the info!

Hopefully I won't ever have to deal with it, haven't had a single issue yet with the bike.

I bought one new in 03 and loved it, so when I got back into riding I thought this bike would be perfect. And so far it has been.

Only wish I had would be to have the SSS forks, the difference is amazing.

And yes, I like not having to shift as much. I went to a 50 tooth rear and hated it, put a 49 tooth on and it was perfect. The gearing was just right for just about any track.

I wanted that bike so bad when I was a kid, based largely on a couple of good reviews and a few bitchin shots of Paul Broomfield annihilating berms on it in ADB.

Dad wouldn't budge! My old RM was it till I left MX for a few years... sad face!

This is my multipurpose -08 RM125, mostly stock, the graphics were on it when I bought it. Not a big fan of those. Only mods that I have made is the Windham bent Fatbar (because the original was narrowed), getting the suspension done and putting on the lights so It´s legal in Enduro races.

I´ve raced Motocross, Enduro and CrossCountrys with it. I just take the lights of when they´re not needed.

I went to florida for vacation a few years ago and took my bike. Went to thundercross. Bike had an original millville rear on it, wasn't enough tire. I cased the triple out of the right hand sweeper along the drive and didn't end well. Not even close. I had zero traction coming out of the corner but for some dumb reason went for it anyways.

I love my 03. I bought it cheap for a secondary bike and it turns out to handle better than the last three new big bikes I have had, especially the 450. I will be riding it more this year. The 250 might get jealous but the 125 is still the most fun.

The brake is mush partly because of the under fork routing.

Does anyone have any gears for one? I need the primary shaft and some gears asap.

Get yourself a brake line from an 05 YZ and run that. I got an 05 brake line off of ebay for 40 bucks and got the brake line holder that mounts on the forks for the 05 as well.

Lightspeed makes some fork guards that go on the older style forks that has the holder for the newer style brake line routing.

Check my pic in this thread and you will see what I am talking about.

The break feel and pressure is soooo much better.

Thanks. I am doing this for sure.

I meant to change it last year before I crunched a gear and parked it. Now I get to buy a brake line AND a tranny! Pinch

thank you for the information about the brake routing. if you ate a gear be sure to check the shift fork; mine was pretty bent when i ate 3rd gear for the FIRST time. and learn from me and my dumb decision and change the same gear (mine was 3rd) on BOTH AXLE'S in your tranny.
