Thanks Tony!
I couple of things made me laugh looking through the late 1980's-early 1990's photos-
.......I always thought RT looking so good on that Suzuki with Fox gearin the 1980's. I don't know what it was either?!
......Sidi Tracker boots were the shittiest boots ever made. I hade a pair in 1992 and regretted not getting Alpinestar Tech-4
......I thought his TUF suzuki (blue/pink/yellow) was so cool back in the early 1990's. It looks silly now

Ronnie was not only one of the best riders we ever had at TUF Racing, but he was a great guy also. Worked hard never complained and got us our best results ever in both the outdoor nationals with a best finish of 2nd at Southwick and 3rd
overall 125's and in the supercross class a fourth at Tampa and 7th overall in the 250 class, back then it was cherry picking if you rode 125 SX. That sure has changed. We always tried to have our bikes stand out from the rest an it was cool at the time,
but looks dated now. Thanks for the pictures some of these I didn't have.

I remember watching Tichenor ride at Joe Robbie Stadium on that strange white sand track. He was the only guy doing that triple and had a huge lead in the main. It's too bad he crashed. He would've broken RJ's win streak before Stanton did it.

I remember an interview they did with Tichenor on race day ... he spoke about what he ate the day of the race. It was funny because he sounded like Jeff Spicoli! Laughing

My son has been training with Ronnie for eight years, and it I can see a lot of the body position and where it came from.

Yes, he still sounds like Spicoli. That is one of the reasons why kids love him.

I was at that race, Ronnie would have won for sure but he kept jumping the triple for too long after the takeoff face got so rutted out that guys pegs were dragging. It finally bit him but he was impressive while it lasted.

Yeah, the have Buehl and Tichenor mixed up. And what was Denny Stephenson thinking running that hair cut? That was awful even during the era of bad hair.

I still have a scar on my chin from that same triple. That white sand was some weird sh#t. I think even the ruts had ruts.

Ronnie is an excellent trainer and has produced some of the top amateur racers including Izzi, Trettel, AC and many others. He is a awsome guy, anyone that needs some training should try his schools. Ronnie is definitely a thinking mans trainer.

Ok, long shot here but, I"m in the process of rebuilding a 92 rm 250, would like to get a little R.Tichenor/ Tuf tribute theme going. Does anyone know who originally produced the seat cover & graphics for these bikes? The red seat cover & matching tank & shroud graphics.. Thanks....

If there was a thing as a "kit" in 1988...that is a great looking Fox "kit". But, I'm old school and really appreciate riders wearing bike-coordinated colors...

And yeah, great thread...Ronnie was a badass!

I love this look he had at the time.

Lots of great pictures of Ron, to bad he didn't have more factory rides along the way.

Tichenor always had great style...aggressive body position. Old thread, but nice pics!
