Its a joke and I cant believe MX sports let this happen. You have 42 girls that have worked hard to qualify and make it to the biggest amateur race in the world and now they have to race against someone that shouldnt even be in the class. Not only that but one of them wont even get to start on an even gate. Its bull shit and I cant believe DC is letting this happen.

Yeah seems fishy to me. Just because you recognize yourself as a female, being born a man you have male attributes it seems unfair to all the girls to me.

The promoter is in a no-win situation here. Allow the entrant to race, and you have 42 pissed of women MXers. Barr the entrant from competition, and you'll end up at the Supreme Court. I sure don't envy anyone at MX Sports right now.

And that's the problem with our fucking world these days. Sensitivity and political correctness is out of control.

The racer was born with a dick, he races the men's class. Go piss in the women's rest room, call yourself a chick, I don't care.. But on a genetic level you are a MAN and have a huge advantage.

What a bitch for even trying to race that class.

I actually agree with this. Why do we have separate gender classes? I feel like women want equal rights up until it's time to compete. Not fast enough to race against the pros? figure out what class you are competitive in then. It's not 450 Pro (men) class. It's 450 pro, for example.

This is the problem with our world today. It shouldn't even be allowed to happen let alone go to court.This shouldnt even be an issue right now because HE shouldnt have been able to race the qualifiers to get to Loretta's.

A long time ago a WWII vet told me that all this type of stuff is all part of the Dumbing of America and I thought he was crazy. Now many years later I think back and he was right on about allot of things he told me. Its sad.

There is no "guys class"... The Womans class and the girls classes are the only ones offered by MX Sports that is gender specific. All the other classes are open to both genders. There are no "guy" specific classes.

She/he could win the women's title with a little luck, but against the guys she would not even stand a chance of qualifying. I will bet one thing for sure, there won't be an empty spot on the fence next week waiting to see if the #72 is on the gate.

What do the rules say? (I looked, and while I won't stake my life on this, I didn't find ANYTHING written specifically about the women's class in the AMA rulebook...nor is there anything mentioned in the Loretta Lynn's supplemental rules).

Whether it is right or not doesn't matter. Is it against the rules? No.

Should the rules be changed? Absolutely. If anything they need to be written down in the first place. (ala multiple other professional sports).

The rules say that an A rider cannot ride C class, which I know you know. But you might be interested to know a rider that rides in womens A can ride B class in anything not designated as a womens/girls class.

That's all well and good. I was just making a point. Either way, a man shouldn't be able to ride in the women's class. Its not a gay/straight issue. Its a genetics issue. I'm disappointed in the AMA for letting this happen. If Lebron wanted to be a girl, what would he do in the WNBA?

Lebron could play in the WNBA at some point in the future if he wanted to be a girl...because they have well established RULES about it.

That's all that is needed to fix this issue. The rules have be drawn out, and this will likely not happen before the amateur nationals start. The rules will then apply to next year.

So where in the rules does it say someone DQ'd at the regional can qualify for nationals? They apparently seen something wrong with it then. I agree with what ur saying about the rules need to be changed. But it doesn't make it right.

The racer in this class has a chance to make a statement on this issue. What if, when the gate dropped all the "females" stayed behind the gate. It would be awkward but........

Competitive sports need classes, rules, level fields and places where all athletes get a fair shake. Can anyone say that the transgender has no advantage over the girls? How many girls would play any sport if they had to make the boys teams? It's not right or fair and if it happens we may as well go this route.....

Classes and rules gone! Run what you brung in all sports! We live in equal world right. If a girl, guy, gay or tranny wants to make the team let them try. Only the strong survive!
