unfortunately they screwed up as the MXA logo was classic and recognized by all moto fans from 1973 on, now they might as well call the mag "Dirt bike" or "cycle world" Jody's and his boys screwed the pooch on this one. Blush

That is an epic fail if real.

They should never change the original iconic logo.... EVER.

This reminds me of the “Pepsi Challange “ in the 80’s. Coke changed their whole formula because of a advertising campaign. I love print magazines, but let’s face it print is dead. Something is up if they need to change their logo after decades with the recognizable one. Get your popcorn ready, MXA maybe on the ropes.

That logo would really hit with 1 more tooth on the rear sprocket.

I used to draw the old logo in my school books in the 80s (Maxima too). I wouldn’t be drawing that one.

Changing this? Pffftttt . . . Read the room. No need to change. Nothing to gain and lots to lose.

Is Jody still at the helm? I would think he would notice it’s almost a duplicate logo of failed 80’s MX brand MXL:

And I may have just inadvertently just made my contribution to the "tell me you're a vet rider without telling me you're vet rider" thread.

Gotta say, I’m not a fan of the new logo. I hope at least the print magazine stays with the old one. If not, life goes on.

I doubt they're changing the magazine logo. Website...fine...add a tooth. But, I go back to the new Coke formula. A great marketing phenomenon, ultimately mobilizing the "Classic formula faithful" and generating more sales.

We're all talking about MXA and what it has meant to the sport, industry, and its relevance. MXA''s off to a great start going into their 49th year!

I didn’t like Racer X switching their format up either. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it

Same. Great magazine....and Jody is an icon.

Wish he'd do a Whiskey Throttle Show with Ping... man, the stories!

This to me is similar to "new coke" for those that remember that fantastic corp decision. )

I think it looks very good but I can understand why a lot of people won’t welcome the change. They probably anticipated that, though I suspect they’re doing a makeover of the whole publication as well.
