Hope this is resolved sooner rather than later, as I was really starting to enjoy this game, graphics - good, gameplay - again really good, not liking the blurred billboards and what not in the starting animations at all, compared to mxgp2 which looked mint imo.
As for the start with the clutch?? I have done better just forgetting the clutch, pinning it and just waiting for gate to drop! There's potential for this feature but atm I can't get to grips with it, yet as for scrubs/whips, I think are actually pretty good despite what others have been saying, each to there own I suppose but I find after using both sticks to start the whip, using just the left stick to return back to riding position seems to work really well, but then I race in first person view and it just feels right when I do this! And the first person view, to me, is the best part of mxgp 3 by a long shot, hands down first person view on a 250 2 stroke with the sound cranked up is something worth coming home from work to, I just wish it gets fixed soon, as I haven't been able to play career now for 2 straight days!
Also why is my front number plate always red no matter what I do? Looks ridiculous on a gopro yz! Or any other bike for that matter that isn't a cr! That's me done for now, slowly losing interest though, as this isn't just a bug or glitch, it is in fact, fu(#&d!
I've had very few bugs so far but on PC, seems like a lot more issues on console.
Also complaint number 2.... i see alot of people complaining about the tracks and not being realistic enough to the real thing... wow... You guys have come to expect A LOT from motocross games, where history has not given us ANYTHING. The tracks on reflex were pretty decent... but none of them based off real tracks. and there were not enough..... MXGP3 has 24 tracks... that absolutely poops on reflex... Stop putting so much emphasis on them not being 100% carbon copys of the real thing.. IMO They are close enough, and better than any other tracks produced by other developers for motocross games (This is not counting themselves and their previous games)
IMO The tracks are awesome.. They may not be 100% EXACT, But they are so much fun to race on and thats what matters....
And again.. people are forgetting MODDING. Wait until people are making custom tracks, gear, and bikes.. this game has potential to be phenomenal
Definitely the best motocross game that we have to date.... I dont really know how we could argue otherwise? MXGP1 would be a contender but the bikes feel like bricks, and every jump is a boner air.. you cannot drop the front end for the life of you...
The Shop
And for the first part ill just say never say never. Theres always another solution altough I think its pretty good how it is.
Found out last night I got the stupid skipped race bug last night ugh....still love the speed and feel of the game otherwise and I cant really argue about the tracks because I dont know them but they feel fun.
Love the way I can overjump by miles like a spaz instead of dropping like a stone in the first game and losing all momentum.
Oh and yeah OP was right about leaning left and right too
but anyways, when they announced Alive, we were all super pumped because of how good reflex was.. and how rainbow studios just kept raising the bar, from unleashed, then to untamed, and to reflex... each game was such an improvement and they just kept besting themselves... Welp, none of us knew that rainbow studios was not going to be the developer, but instead nordic was.... Well they fucking ruined my favorite child hood game series. They absolutely shit all over everything that that made a great motocross game. Pure fucking diarrhea by these guys.
Then i lost interest in any motocross games coming out... at the time there was nothing on the horizon. Theeen MXGP1 comes along and catches me by surprise.. didn't hear about it, knew nothing about it until months after its release. Honestly I didn't really like it... Zero replayablity... I ended up doing a couple seasons, win a couple championships etc.. and that was it. Of course the graphics were amazing, the tracks were beautiful, the bikes and rider gear looked incredible... But the physics were awful. Bikes felt like bricks.. nothing but boner air on every jump... couldn't drop the front end for the life of you, break / gas gyro in the air didn't work.. and leaning over bars almost did nothing. I again lost interest in any good MX games coming out. Didn't expect them to make an MXGP2....
That brings us to MXGP3... Again, know nothing of its release, didn't even know they made #2. So then about last week .. bout 2 weeks ago maybe? I see a trailer or announcement or something(for mxgp3).. Watch a couple early early game play vids, and honestly thought it looked kind of shitty just like the first one, maybe a slight bit of an improvement....Well I obviously ended up downloading the game and playing it... and I clearly am smitten.. I mean i love it, im having so much fun playing and it was so unexpected, and maybe thats why i love it so much
And probably one of the reasons I seem to defend it a little harder than average because of the things people are picking apart like the tracks for instance... ok sorry that they aren't 100% accurate to each and every breaking bump, but they are by FAAAAAAAR better than ANY other track produced by ANY other developer. ever. period. (Again, this DOES NOT INCLUDE GP1 and GP2 games! They are made by the same developer, All 3 of them)
This is particularly annoying given all of the things they have fixed for us, made better, and the progress they've obviously made...The stuff they've fixed/adjusted/changed is sooooo much more important than the scaling of the tracks being slightly off. and
Milestone has produced some of the best motocross tracks for video games ever. period. end of story. No one else comes close. So for people to complain about that... well seems really stupid to me, again especially taking into consideration of what we have to compare to:
Reflex has fake tracks, that are decent at best(custom tracks do not count)...
mxvsatv alive tracks are terribad, and are also fake, as in not based off any real track except JS7 compound which is actually really nice i will admit.
mxvsatv supercross has no outdoor tracks...
Mx simulator stock tracks are awful (and again, no. custom tracks do not count)
Im not going to mention MXGP1 and GP2.. They are all made by Milestone, who also make gp3.
So how can we complain?? How do you justify yourself complaining about that? instead of embracing that they are by far the best tracks anyone has ever given us for a motocross game.
L1- Clutch
L2- Rear brake
R1- Front brake
R2- Throttle
It makes it feel set up more naturally for me, still getting the hang of a manual tranny and stopping shifting on accident, which kills momentom.
Pit Row
And I don't like when you are just getting going again from a crash or at slow speeds in corners there is this weird sway / turn that happens. Not sure how to explain it but it drives me crazy.
Tracks are ok. Matterley Basin does indeed suck. Talavera is good on 250s but too small for 450s. I feel that way about the tracks in general. 250s rev out too fast. 450 KTM is a beast.
Online play is finally getting better. First few months no one on a 450 could hold a line and the lobbies were full of cunts playing demolition derby but is better. Actual passing is taking place. Are still retards and punks but isn't as much fun for them. I like to send them messages telling them that believe it or not everybody hates them and wishes they'd go away. To fuck off. After about 6 months the first game had some truly great online racing(PS4) so hopefully that happens again.
The resets are ridiculous. Because of all the cheaters in the first game they have slowly tightened up the boundaries to the point where some outside lines reset you while sitting on the track. Glen Helen is terrible with them. The first game had it perfect but all the fuckfaces ruined it. O
Ruts are pretty good. Would like to be able to race weekends online and keep the ruts from every race so the tracks got really beat up. They would too-they are pretty effective and make a big difference. AI basically digs two lines in every corner but online just beats the shit out of track as well as digging lines.
First person manual gears is the way to play but is tough because you get cleaned out in corners irnjistbbasically crashes all the time because youncant see around you. Even playingnin really good lobbies in the first game I had to learn to ride third person because of this. Alive had a good system that showed where riders around you were so maybe they could do something like that because first person is really good.
Bring back Beto Carrero. Give us a version of valkenswArd from the late 90s when it was super technical. Look it up on YouTube. Brutal. They redesigned lommel and made it a lot more technical this year so maybe it will be good in next game but it pretty much sucks this game. Switzerland seems really boring at first but it and Assen are great online racing tracks. Charlotte has so far been avoided but it's proving itself to be one of the best tracks too. Ernee from the first game that you actually use the berms on would be really good. Hyvinkaa would be great with these physics too.
Wish we had the first games tracks with these physics. That would be one great mx game.
