After years of supporting my sons racing, I've finally decided to start building a dream bike for myself. The 2003 kx250 started out a old woods racer after years of being thrashed around by the pervious onwer. I was offered the bike for $750 and a pair of goggles, I immediately jumped on this deal knowing this bike is going to get completely restored. After tearing the bike down to the very last bolt sitting back and envisioning of exactly how I wanted the bike. Sure I could've did a big bore kit but "why" doing head work from my previous experience is good enough. After replacing crank & bearings the bottom was solid, then I proceeded onto the head porting/polishing the exhaust port, polishing the transfer ports, adjusting the squish with a home made gasket I knew I was spot on. Parts started coming in from top manufactures such as Rad wheels, odi grip/bars, flomotorsports pegs, chain/sprockets, boyesen rad valve, stator/clutch covers, supercooler, torc1racing shifter/brake petal, asv levers, traction seat cover, cycra plastics, ride engineering clamps, axle blocks, galfer brakes, Fcr suspension works valve kit with TI coatings. After getting back the frame/sub frame & swing arm from the powder coater, it's time for the build to begin. When the bike was finished, it was time for graphics after getting the proof back from the designer he put everything in the kit I was asking for. Now since it's all finished I gotta look back and remember how much of a childhoods dream has came true within a dirtbike...

I'll be honest at first glance I wasn't so sure.... then I started to see your accessorizing with the green bling. I have to say that's a pretty cool scooter you have there. Congrats on making your "dream bike" few of us have the time or resources to do so.

What's the deal with the suspension? I see it uses the older style fork guards but I didn't think A-kit forks went back that far? Or maybe I misconstrued what you meant by A-kit..

Nice job!

Nice looking scoot...an eye catcher for sure. Very well done. Good candidate for "Bike of the Month."
If your racing skills are as sharp as your bike, you'll be racking up the wins in no time.

Looks great..

Now all you need is all blacked out gear.... And
Add a black helmet w/ some subtle green ghost graphics, green goggles and gloves

And ring that biatch out Smile

Very nice.

How much were the forks? They look very trick.

Also, Bills FTW. Nice to see something besides PC/FMF.
