Do you ride the bike to the track? Or have to haul?

I love everything about this post. Awesome build.

PS thanks for sticking with silver rims.. although factory yellow rims would look so sweet on that bike.

Ed, what conversion did you do? I'm in the middle of a 07 RMZ 250 with a CR500 motor, man, it's a tight fit, lots of things to overcome. Should be bad ass though.Wink I'm going to try to go for the yellow wheels look, no black wheels for me.

I did a 05 RM250 into 05 RMZ450. Plenty of room for everything in that frame. I though the airbox boot was going to be an issue but the 06 RM125 boot fit perfectly.

How's the cancer thing going?

How about 2015 plastics on a 06 model frame Tongue . RMX 144XC Bitza. She's a bitza this and a bitza that.
All fits on my 06 250 frame as well, but I stole the engine out of that for a 295AF build.

Work in progress obviously. And another XC as well. Gas tank will eventually be Hard Anno Black. Air box is a direct fit with the RM125 boot, Have a new one coming ATM.

It's all the spare parts from my other project "builds". Looks shit ATM but will come up nice., just use your Imagination lol.
Didn't get It's best angle in the Pic either.

She's very Narrow.

I tried the Yellow Rims. Went back to black as they are a lot easier to touch up scratches etc and look better for longer.

I get a lot of people asking if the AF corners as well as the steel frame. AF is heaps better for MX IMO. Have to build a steel frame XC for ST to see the comparison there. I'd say it might be close

Cool. I let the local kids ride to my place and do laps. It's cool to go see neighbors here on the bikes or quads. Love country living.

From what I remember it bolts right up....
But one extra bolt hole, where I just placed a bolt and a nut so it wasn't empty

Hey Ed, thanks for asking. I'm coming up on my 5 years, blood work is looking great. I've put it out of my mind now. If it comes back or rears it's ugly head, I'll deal with it then. My problems now are the nerve damage and internal damage done during my 4 surgeries. Doc's are happy with my blood, but can't do anything more for my pain. I'm pretty much as good as I'll get, they say. I had the VA put the SCS system in me. At 57, they feel it's kinda all downhill from here on out. So I'm trying to stay active as much as my body will allow, or I'll lose what muscle and conditioning I have left. I was going to try to race some of your new clubs events, but the last 2 times out to the track, have been a disaster. That's why I started the RMZ 250/CR500 project. To keep my head in the game. How have you been? Racing much? How you feeling? Mike

And how's the new club doing?

Got the engine mounted today and some other stuff Smile It's slowly coming together, but it's not easy with one broken hand Smile

It's a 2007 250 rmz that's getting a 2004 125 rm engine Smile The engine has been overhauld with a new crank, bearings, piston and gasket Smile

Congrats on such an awesome man cave and an equally awesome builds!

Was it hard to line up the rear plastics from 2010 to 2007 rmz 250? I'm planning to do the same swap on mine.

Not that much work Smile You have to cut the airbox and shorten the sub frame on top where the bolt for the rear fender is Smile And drill 2 new holes on the bottom of the rear fender Smile I'm going to do this on another rmz 2008, i've bought a used 2012 airbox, waiting for that, i'll let you know how that goes Smile

On the '05 450 to 250 conversion I used an '06 RM 125 boot.

I did a similar project but used a YZ250 engine. It works quite well.

I suggest a longer rear shock link dog bone. I got one from Devol that's ajustable

Very cool, best looking AF in my opinion, it just looks like it was almost made for it.
