I noticed during the races. its not will. she is great. its what she is told to talk about and when. the material she says every week about talking to a rider belongs during the breaks. not race time. without fail it takes away from the race and something happens. not her fault. if she gets the call during the races make it about a rider moving up positions or talk to a mechanic on split screen. the same old" he said he needs a good start, finding a happy place, lifestyle" etc. kills the race vibe. Daniel the eagle killer needs to just talk track. he does great. I think if they make this adjustment, it will help the show. while I have the floor. ralph and rc this isn't golf. ralph needs more passion or something. it feels flat with him and rc. I hope they raise their game. credit to the cameras being closer and showing the speed and sound. that can make or break a racing broadcast.

I like RC in the booth. The guy has something intelligent to say for just about everything. To me, it looks like NBC is worried that he is dominating the broadcast. Tons of racer insight, coaching abilities and expert analysis. I feel like I am watching an awesome race and learning how to ride at the same time.

RC is always giving pointers from which gate he might select and why to riding techniques such as keeping the front wheel light in the sand as well as walking us through the psychological aspects. Sure lots of stuff I already heard before and he reinforces it. I learn by watching and trying. Sometimes I get the impression that he would be saying much of the same things as when he was coaching at the GOAT Farm.

The broadcast does annoy me from time to time. LIke when they try to dumb down the content in an effort to attract unfamiliar audiences. Their speech gets slower like they are talking to someone who is retarded. Or when Forkner is way out in front and there are two laps to go and they are like "Anything can happen" (which is true) in an effort to keep us watching.

Even still, I think they're doing a good job. I'm not comparing to last season as I like Jeff too.

BTW, watching Blake jump the wall jump (or whatever it's called) in the main was awesome--totally unexpected until he did it. If anyone was going to do it first, it would be him. My wife watches him ride and her only comment is, "He is brave.". True True...
