Picked mine up Saturday, broke it in Sunday. As the OP said, if I can get past my arm pump.......but this thing is awesome. Have a 17, this is better. Turns better, feels lighter, suspension really good right out of the box. Maybe a little soft for my wide load but that will change with either springs or a diet. Springs are easier. But even if it wasn't much better than last years, the little button on the handlebar makes it worth the price of admission. But now to find who has number plate backgrounds already. Anyone?

How is power compared to the 17? Stronger? Same? Smoother,. Sik bike. Congrats

Stronger and smoother. Going to run the white coupler this week, hoping for a little arm streching
Im pretty sure 180 decals can already do a whole graphics kit for the bike.

Ok, power is stronger than my 17 but I have about an hour on it and wasn't hammering it. But I could tell it revved quicker and harder. That was on the stock coupler. Turns on a dime. Stock tires are not the hot setup for where I was riding but dropping a few PSI made a difference. If you like Kawi motors, you'll feel right at home. But neither my 16 or 17 motor was a strong as my 13. But I think this will be at least close, hopefully better.

Jeffro.....the e-start sucks. You will hate it. Totally over rated. The forks work really well for as little time on I put on them. Far, far better then any KX fork since 2012. How's your RM coming along.
Thanks. Good info.

You know Dave , we'll have to get together and do a bike swap......125 / 450. It may be a little while before I can do that , as I am kind of taking a break from the bikes. Lot's of work , not much energy to ride. The RM......well , she is kind of just sitting there , still in pieces. Lost some motivation over the past couple months. I think I may try a Mtn View or something some time after the national. And btw.....congrat's on the new Kawi. They are a great looking machine.

Great looking bike. I'd be excited as hell to have one of those! Looks like it's going to do well in the shootouts and all that. Congratulations!

Yes. 2016-2019 KX450F use the same axle blocks.

Kawasaki rep said that it weighs the same as the 18, which is believable since they cut so much weight in a lot of different parts.

Was there a weight difference between the let's say a 16' KX450 and an 18'? I only ask , because I owned the 16' , and that bike felt ( chassis wise ) like a mountain bike compared to my 2012 Kawi. Not near as fast as my 12' Kawi though.....which btw had the strongest 450 motor I've ridden to date.

No, I think they were the same. And I agree about the 12 motor. I put 12 cams in my 13 and it snorted. But the 19 feels lighter, clutch is like butter and I'm pretty sure once its broken in its gonna be a runner. Now I just have to get my fat ass in shape.

Hahahahahahaaa. Get in shape. Hahahahahahahaaaaa.

Let me know when you want to ride

Haha...I hear ya. I've been dropping the ball on that part for a couple months now. I'll get a hold of you here before too long. Probably try and get some riding in after the national some time.

Hey fuckhead, I asked a question, got an answer and replied with my thought. Did I talk shit? No, I didn’t. I asked a question. I happen to love Kawasaki’s and had ridden them for years. Im not out here advising people that KTM is the only way to go. Of course it isn’t. You gotta chuckle a bit that these bikes are getting heavier as the years go by. But I guess that makes sense with the way the prices are going. Anyway, not here to talk shit, just answering a dumb fuckers post. Have a nice day Tscham101. And I hope the OP didn’t take any offence from my moronic post, and is able to still enjoy his sweet new bike. Bye.

I could tell I needed to slide forks up some but other then that insanely plush I didn't touch anything and it was perfect. I'm not going to get a revalve I love it. Most comfortable I've felt in a long time.

man, Im a Honda guy but also older and race off road. This bike so far sounds absolutely perfect for a worcs, big 6 bike with the plush suspension. Minimal cost in setting it up when you dont have to deal with suspension. Could be perfect out of the box.

And to the weight Nazis, take your 223 lbs somewhere else. Not everybody drinks the MXA koolaid.

Congrats on the new ride! I saw a guy at Breezewood last weekend on one. Really looks great in person. I’m trying to finagle a way to get one for next season. Ridersville Cycle in WV gave me a quote of $8k OTD. Not bad at all.

Figures though. Once I get my 16 dialed in and all pimped out, a new bike comes along for me to lust after. Laughing

This bike has me seeing green, and I am not even much of a 4 stroke guy. Might be the bike that makes me fold the 2 smoker. lol! Oh the thought!
