This was supposed to be RC's 1st ride on the Honda at the 01 MXDN. We ended up not going though and he never raced the 01 RC250.

I was so bummed on RC when he went to Honda. I felt he had turned his back on a sponsor who had stood behind him since he wagon 60's and had went for the money. In hindsight I am sure there was more to it but in 2002 I was no longer and RC fan. It was not til he went to the underdog Suzuki team that he won me back. The Honda years are the dark years for me.

I remember one race where RC touched TP199 and the whole stadium rained down a wave of boos that threatened to blow the roof off. When DV passed him for the win the place went crazy. It is hard to remember now but RC was not the crowd fav in those years.

Here is a famous race. RC whisky throttled his RC250 off a jump and looped his bike out. As a result he got up in last minus his visor. Meanwhile Nathan Ramsey was out front on his booming CRF450R. RC almost came all the way back to get Nat Dog for the win but he held on to be the 1st thumper since Doug Henry in 97 to win a SX.

You can really see Ricky's weird ass set up in this pic. On the CR's he ran his bars so far back they were in his lap. The bike looked so retarded I wonder how he ever went so fast on it.
