RENEN USA Opinions?

I'm not sure what to think about the stuff just from the eyeball test... I have massive respect for Pete, but not really grasping what Im seeing.
If I want high tech gear, Id buy SEVEN. If I want badass clean gear, Id buy FASTHOUSE.
Id just like to hear what the mission statement behind the designs is... For the guy who designed Image, 360, asymetry, etc, the stuff just seems overly basic.

He said his first few releases would be on the basic side and get more creative from there

Anything he does is cool.

Give it some more time to see his products and body of work.

Pants sold out in 30 minutes Pinch Not sure why he is doing such limited runs on pants, but tons of jerseys.

It's the Supreme model- manufactured exclusivity through limited runs, aimed at the "look at me" crowd. I ain't buying it. Literally.

It's built with old school materials and in USA, so obviously there is a market for that (and minimal risk with the small batches that create hype because it's always sold out).

I'm just not the target for it. Having used multiple different gear brands modern stretch gear sets, there is no way going back to the older style of gear. The only exception is for winter riding in minus degree Celsius when the stretch gear is just too cold.

I do have the hoodie and although I did buy it simply because of Pete, In turn it is one of the best hoodies I own. The material and fit is phenomenal. I've been wanting to get a set of the gear and I'm on the early distribution list. Last night I checked an hour after I got the email and the pants were gone in my size.

Looks like nice gear but I’m not gonna waste my time trying to get product that has no inventory. I don’t need it that bad. I’m sure that exclusivity turns some people on and drives sales, unfortunately it turns a lot of potential customers off not being able to try the brand.

I have a set and while I think it's a high quality product, I do have a few issues. One, there's nothing like on my Fly pants to keep the shirt tucked in. My second issue that's a bit larger, the knee area is not designed to be used with bulky knee braces like my Asterisk Cell braces. But the gear does have positives that perhaps level everything out. The leather inside knee panel definitely grips the bike and doesn't feel like my brace is going to wear through or into the plastics. The jersey is nice and has long enough sleeves to meet my gloves (I have long arms).

With all that said, I probably wont buy another set unless I knew they gave a little more room in the knee area, but certainly don't feel like they were bad value or anything like that.

I love putting the company name above the riders name on the back of a jersey. It looks like the guys name is Fly Baggett or Renen Tedesco. LOL

Initial impression:

Jersey: Super stretchy but is a bit on the heavy side of things. I don’t think I’ll be wearing it on the hottest of days.

Pants: heavy construction that should last. Zero grippy material to keep jersey tucked in tho. I would like to see another adjustment in the waist other than the traditional closure system.

I’ll know more once it stops raining and we can ride.

Appears to be the ultimate “cool guy” gear to set yourself apart from your moto Bros who are all wearing “ Fasthouse “ gear.... but you will be “ on point” with this gear👌

$118 for a hoodie? .....LOL ............. I will buy my hoodie from Costco for $20.00. And spend my money on things that count like tires and proper maintenance. I will laugh at the sucker I see wearing that.

It looks to me like there is a Core line that gets restocked and then Limited Edition runs. That explains all the different jerseys that go with the core pant.

I did buy the gloves GC-2 gloves to try out. They are similar to shift black label air glove which I really like.

I like my Shift White Label gear, I get bored and like to change my gear look often and the white label is inexpensive.

Some people like to support U.S. manufacturing. That's kinda hard to do with clothing and you have to pay extra for it.
I think the little American flags on it are lame but I appreciate it being made here.

LOL the American flags are one of the main things I like about the gear but each their own. I totally agree with appreciation of the domestic manufacturing.
