I've been looking for a nice 250 and ran across this little gem. Guy is asking 3k which I think is a little steep but I think I could work him down to 2500 or so. Anyway, just curious to know what you guys think its worth... This is my first time posting pics so forgive me if its an epic fail...

Do it. We bought an 06 Yz250, a little used, needed work done, but once we finished it looked brand spanking new. We payed 2 even for it, this bike looks immaculate! Considering the wheels, pipe and silencer, gytr cover, graphic kit, suspension's probably been sent out, thats almost a grand in parts alone...I wouldnt offer him 3 though

So how much would a basically stock '05 w/ about 30 hrs on it and full PC suspension and exhaust be worth? About $2K?

It's looks damn near perfect in the pictures. I havent ran across one this clean and I've been looking for quite awhile. The guy actually lives in the same town I do, which is kinda weird cuz I've never seen the bike or heard of the guy...

He might get 3k for that around here. I'd say if it's as clean as it looks then 2600-2700 would be well worth it.

Unless you are in it for the bling (and you can take care of that with stickers...) it doesn't matter if the suspensions have been "sent off" unless you are the same weight/ability as the previous owner.

True, but it does make a difference because they usually replace the seals and valves inside the forks as well when its sent out, I dont know what he had done though...

Crazy. If I was hunting for one, I wouldn't hesitate paying 3k. We spend 30-50k on cars and all of a sudden we think $ 300 is a deal breaker...

Nice bike, looks clean and he put the right stuff on it. Even a black tank! Go for it and never look back.

I'd give 3k for it. Sure I'd try to negotiate a lower price, but I'd have 3k in hand ready to go.

I would hate to miss out on it over 500 bucks. That steed would make my garage look a whole lot better. I shot the guy a text to see if I could stop by on my way home from work

I always ask myself "if I don't get it, will I regret it if it sells to somebody else."

That's a sharp looking scoot. Real sharp!

That's nice. You could spend 2,300 for one not near as nice.

That thing looks great! And if you're a style freak, you can always add the Dutch body work. They also make YZ250 stuff.

Tell me about the black gas tank. Buy one, dye it, what? I think it looks great (like you can really tell the important stuff form a picture...). I'd be all over that thing!

Yamaha ought to buy the Dutch kits and sell their two strokes with it. Looks incredible!
9/26/2011 3:55pm
That thing is super clean, and at least around here clean two strokes are bringing pretty good money. I think it is worth the $3k so if you can get it for less definitely go for it!!

That thing is nice! I'd go for it. Just make sure the current owner puts the chain back on Wink .
