Renthal Sprockets ??

Currently running a 13/49 on my 2014 CRF250. Looking to change to a 13/50 or 13/51

Are the Renthal Twin Ring sprockets really that much better than normal aluminum Renthal sprocket?

I have considered a Vortex as well. I would really like something that is going to last and as light as possible.

In the past I have used Primary Drive but I remember it being heavy.

The twin ring does last longer for sure! I run them on our practice bike!

I always trash the front sprocket first anyway so I run the cheap al rears like primary drive. If you're gonna replace them all together anyway the extra life doesn't help.

I have the feeling that peelout will have a sprocket bolt joke for us.

I run the Supersprox stealth sprockets which is basically the same as the Renthal Twinring but cheaper and in my opinion better looking.

I have a few months on a Renthal twin ring and a RK MKZ Gold. The Sprocket is wearing well, but I'm most impressed with the chain. It's very resistant to stretching. I think its important that you use a high quality chain with if you go with a high quality sprocket. Going cheap on either will cause premature wear.

or is the question? is aluminum performance (bling) worth the price over steel, guess it come down to looks, wear and weight, other the looks and wear does anything else matter for weekend warriors?

I hate Renthal Sprockets and chain s. there not wort the money at all imo . there are loads of brand far better lasting and way cheaper . I find JT x ring chain is great last s way longer and is lighter and cheaper than a Renthal O ring

I could not agree with you more. Renthal aluminum sprockets are made out of modeling clay. I love the JT O-ring on my woods bikes....cheap, holds up great, lightweight, and looks descent.

I tried Renthal on an 80 back in the day and it wore out as I looked at it, tried them one more time on a 250 a few years ago and they wore faster than cheese. The twin ring might be good, haven't tried that but I'm not about to give them another shot.
