Is this the Natonal that RJ blew his wheel out with a big points lead and handed the championship to Hansen? Sure bet he would like to have a do-over on that one.

Arlo England??? Never knew him but he was from Colorado I think.

Awesome pics...Thanks for posting. Love the sweet pit area in the background. No 18 wheelers to be found.

Not bad for a noob.

The pics I have to give credit to Kendell Coniff. Another old school CO Motocrosser.

Was starting to wonder...10 posts and not one noob comment.

Just following the rules like a good noob should. If I have a question about a thread or something to benefit the quality of the post I will chime in. Otherwise I will just STFU.

Anyone remember an old program called "Hidden Heroes"? I think their was an episode about Darrel Shultz and his championship winning season and all the obstacles he faced.

He was battling numerous injuries the worst of which was a blown knee. The whole program was about how the doctors and Honda guys kept him on the track on the way to the 500 championship. Draining fluid from the knee between motos and such. Used to have it on VHS but i'm sure it is long gone.

Shultz was a badass. When he was healthy and on his game, he was unbeatable. Don't think he ever got the credit he deserved. Often overlooked when some of the other legends of that era are discussed.

Always looked for this track off the highway on the way to aztec/wildrat but couldn't see it. Completely overgrown now I assume. Was that owned by the city of Castle Rock?
