But it was the approach that made it so intimidating. Here's 2001.

There was once a table/table at Bithlo that was a huck for a 125. 2002 also.

Also at hardrock around 2001, when they would run night practice they would cut out the that little finish uphill and have a 85 foot booter that jumped over where you would normally turn for the finish line. Not big distance, but big air. Felt like you were 50ft high.

There were always new 100 footers out at PaxTrax made out of mulch lol.

But as far as Florida tracks go, Panama City mx had some fun big jumps. They knew how to work a step up. The 110ft triple stepdown into the pit was kinda sketchy though.

Loved that water tower jump. Used to cut the track and go around and hit it again and again. Would've been around 1997 or 98 when they built it. Click fourth on a KX250 about halfway up the hill and lean left over the lip. Landing so long, couldn't go wrong.
I've done water tower from the right side which was pretty scary. The downhill triple directly behind that jump was pretty big too.

Elevator at gatorback on a 125 was pretty big. There was a step on step off on the gainesville sx track one year that that I tripled.

I'm sure there were bigger but those are the only ones I can think of that anyone would know.

I lapped Ryan Capes 2 times in 1: 25 minute practice session.
Furthest ive jumped in the dunes is probably 90-100 ft
I dont know how far ive jumped on a track. I would like to though. im guessing about 80.

This thread is kind of irrelevant though. Most people get distances by word of mouth.
One dude will guess its 50 ft and tell the next dude. The next dude will try to impress a chick or something and say its 75 ft. Then someone will overhear that and turn it into a 90 ft jump. Seen the sht happen many many times.
Its funny, i just built a double in my backyard that is 45 ft and when i went to measure it i was sure it was going to be atleast 55-60.

Does it count if I hit a jump at Comp Edge Mx......flew by medivac to the trauma center at Arrowhead Regional and landed in ICU? If so, thats like 40 miles......so I guess that would be my biggest jump.

Step up at racetown. I've heard it's about 120 or so. Not a hard jump but lots of fun. There also used to be a big table top triple thing at I5 a few years ago. I think it was over 100. dDavis might know what I'm talking about.
I dont remember, do you remember where on the track it might've been? Was it the very far section alongside the mountain? (farthest from the pits)

and yes Shark, i've ridden at Danimals.

not the biggggest ive jumped but pics of two big leaps

Try hitting a ramp, it feels 10x as big than it actually is.

Comp Edge, if youve been there you know how massive this step down is.

damn, takes some balls to hit that big of a gap for the first time on a ramp
Ya, It was pretty scary at first. A guy on a 450 blipped over it in 2nd gear and made it look easy, but I had to hit it pretty hard in 3rd on my 125. I Gooned it the 1st time, front end high, then got the feel of the ramp and it was on then. I can't wait to try it again, no tricks for me though, too old haha

I had just gotten the nerve to do a 60 ft table at the old WFMP (Milton, FL), 3rd gear pinned. let off on the face, and land just right.

A mini-dad changed the face of it because his kid wasn't clearing it. I didn't notice and hit it a bit too fast on the first lap of practice, and I flat-landed way the fuck down the track, 120 ft. The forks and rear both slammed hard. The forks made a loud metal crunch sound. I was about 245lb at the time and the bike had really stiff springs front and back.

I remember looking way down as I passed the landing going "WTF?"

I had to stop and count body parts...two nuts still there..OK to finish practice.

My buddy was flagging on the face of the jump and he said "fuck, I didn't think you would ever land.." Fortunately it was deep sand, not hard pack.

That was the only track I got the nerve to do 70ft triples on, they were soft and pretty easy, come out of a turn 3rd gear pinned and just don't let off.

Uphill triple at Monster Mountain, the jump is gone now but it was 100 feet and you landed about 10 feet higher than the takeoff. I let Bubba pass me one day in the turn before it so we could jump it together, he was pretty stoked about it i bet.

Yeah, me too brother. You were doing things that I just couldn't comprehend at age 14. It was such a pleasure and in hindsight and honor to ride behind and with you and Chris Neal. I've become a better rider because of you and still have so much passion for riding my dirt bike. Thanks scottie
