New rods, pistons, brakes, fork springs and a few other fine tuning parts...
Jemco is a no go. I've tried multiple times over the last 6+ months and every time after i get ahold of someone which is hard in itself (email, Facebook and phone), i offer to pay to get it going and they quit responding.
Thought i had found a pipe, and then the seller quit responding when once again i offered to send money.
I'll continue searching for a pipe but if someone was interested in the bike as it sits i would sell for the right deal. Only items really left at this point is re-covering the seat, installing exhaust, and then cable adjustments & tuning.
Starting to get burnt out of this and getting an itch for a 79-83 Toyota pickup which this would help fund.
The Shop
Edit: Just heard back, he'd need the bike to be able to build me a pipe. Too much distance between TX and NY to make that happen.
Isn't there someone in Australia that makes pipes too? Gmc or something like that? I heard he is a good guy to deal with.
How different is the 81 pipe ?

Generally search the buzz words every couple days for 82 and 83 pipes on ebay, along browsing the few face book groups i'm apart of every week or so.
GMC - Geoff Morris Concepts? I reached out to him, same deal as the other mentioned yesterday, requires the bike to be able to perform the work. New York is looking much closer than Australia right about now
I've created WTB posts on all the major vintage groups i can find, and coming up empty every time. Everyone once in a while someone mentions a shop or a person, but they all require stock pipe & silencer or the entire bike and most do not have a business page which leaves me concerned i'll end up with a low quality hodge podge pipe.
As i run across people with aftermarket pipes thru these searches, i also reach out and offer a decent premium (More than enough to replace with new DG) + my stock pipe and no luck their either unfortunately.
Usually i can track things down, yet this is proving extremely difficult and time consuming for this particular item. White tank i got from Australia for this build originally was easy compared to this and those are difficult enough to find as is.

Jesse Williams used to make bad ass looking pipes back in the day. I've never used him but I've heard only good things. He used to be here but I haven't seen him in a while. His pipes were way cooler looking than DynoPort pipes. I'm sure they work good but I think pipes look better when fabricated out of more pieces. Can't someone build a pipe using the stock exhaust as a pattern? Why do they need the entire bike to make an exhaust?
Maybe you can find someone in the quad world to make something
It can't be that hard. Its not like you are trying to find a kidney

Even after rebuild, the engine had 3 air leaks. Base gasket, oil side crank seal and reed block. Replaced seal, and used copper coat gasket spray on the new gaskets. Passed leak down test. Then new Mikuni with correct jets. She absolutely rips now. Sounds great and my 15 year old boy is riding it at the local Mx sand track.
I’m going to put my Jemco from my yellow k onto his white k and compare. Will make a small YouTube video with sound and performance comparison.
Pic below of white K finished. Just got all the parts to get the yellow one running again.
