Hello everyone I am new here on the site, I have looked from a far over the years and finally joined up.

Seems as though I could use the help for people with a lot more knowledge then I have on my 1987 CR builds, where I can get anodizing done? is cerakote better then powder coat or is it better used on some parts then others? what parts are interchangeable on the CR's?

I have a 250 that runs and is not will not be a hard restore and one of my 125's I'm doing is coming along nicely (but having a hard time finding parts I need).

I would appreciate any help finding parts and info.

kind Regards

Steve Swenson

Gif Welcome To The Party Pal | Welcome to the party, Die ...

Lots of experience to be shared on this board. Best of luck with your build! I don't have any experience with cerakoting but many here do. I am sure this group will get you sorted. Many folks have helped me out countless times.

Ok I have found some NOS parts needed and have had the frame powder coated now for a while>

Think I found a local place for anodize and cerakote guy. I will post some pics of my progress.

When I figure out how to upload  pictures on the site.

I just got a engine from Eric Gorr its a 1989 CR125 built with the 144 kit its ported with all new bearings and seals and a wiseco  clutch setup. Not sure were I'm using it yet seeing I have 2 more in the middle of builds at Speedfreakz one is a 134 going into my bike that will be pretty much a carpet queen and the other is a NSR CR125 that was Troy Bradshaw's (found that out from Eric Gorr) it had markings on the side of the engine Eric put on back in the day.

Frame was super clean , this one is going to be pretty much be a show bike. Only because I have a bunch of NOS parts I would hate to destroy and Im sure there is not a ton of NOS stuff around anymore. Im sure I will have to fire it up and run it around the yard atleast.

Nice rare bike you can find 86&88,s. But 87 r rare. My 1st mc bike I bought 11-18-89 on my birthday. It had a NSR port job for hill climbing..  it was quick & fast. I got a DG pipe from Torque center for 99 bucks. I broke the shock on some big whoops. I got a WP shock from TC, Soo plush. I sold my bike with a red & white tiger seat cover. I bought a 04& 05 from northern iL.  You ever hear of, On the pipe racing ? The shop was in central Wi. He specialized in old Mx parts alot of Honda. I think the buisness is gone. Lee Hechenforf was his name I think. He’s a trip he used to post hvy metal song lyrics on Mx sites. Haha
