Not sure on how he is healing up. But they sold their house in NC and appear have moved back to Australia
I think they're moving to Florida and are in Australia for vacation/family time.
Originally was supposed to race WSX, but we all know what happened in Cardiff.
You are correct they did sell their house in NC. But, their current plans are to move back to Florida. They are on vacation in AU for the holidays now. Chad did say recently that he would like to find a way to split time 50/50 between the two countries in the future if it makes since (I'm assuming financially).
His videos on youtube are great showing where he grew up and learned to ride. His kids are getting a great lesson in life on how he was raised and his appreciation of bikes in general.

His YouTube channel is great and you’ll see he’s healing well, although he said his hand is being a bit of a pain and he’s still got a brace on it in his last video.
Been in Australia living it up since the Melbourne WSX round.
Recently did a few laps of the Phillip Island MotoGP track.
