Only $10 for all 2024 SX, MX, and SMX series (regularly $30).
And here we all are, dancing around a fire with our torches and pitchforks watching KTM crumble, ranting about KTM not sticking to what they do best... 😅
Im not like a sword guy but that thing looks pretty sweet for $250 bucks.
Wow the boys sure like using their 3d printer to make sharp Ti stuff. Early December but they seem to already have had too much champagne.
The Shop
Few are having as much fun in the motorbike business as Anton Wass, thats apparent.
Maybe show up at the FIM offices rocking that thing & suggest a re-negotiation of the super enduro rules regarding e-bikes ?
They are celebrating KTM's management decisions.
Seems like a company that's on its toes and striving, as opposed to, um, KTM, which seems like it's on its heels and backpedaling. No wonder they fought so hard to keep Stark from racing.
What a difference a year makes, no?
Yo, all you doom sayers that were talkin' out your asses about how Stark was a sham that would fold up and blow away like a cheap ten-cent tent - where'd y'all go?
Don't let that sword scare you, speak your mind like the tough guys you are........ or were, anyway.
Coolest thing they make. Love a good sword. William Wallace would fuck shit up with The Klinga
$250 USD would be not bad, for such a thing - But, It's an Auction - on each number up to 1000.
Out of curiosity, I just checked it out. in the clicks on a few successive numbers, the lowest 'bid' (so far, there's No outright Buy price to each one) I saw was around $330. The highest I saw was $1219 : Someone / a few bidders obviously want #73 (I think it was that) . Goodness knows what some numbers will go for, there's still a day and a bit to go on the Auction.
I'm sure they'll sell every one of them, and make very good money on each one , and , get good publicity from it - fair enough.
What's numbers 69, 420, and 666 looking like?
You sure they aren't selling these to raise needed cash?
They just bought some printers and are playing around with it. Just like any of us would do.
And, to be quite honest, if they were just going for $250 USD, I'd buy one. And I'm Not a Sword or Knife collector.
As, it's the time of the year, when I look for something a bit 'silly', as a present to myself, what with spending a Lot on Others.
So, it looks like I'll just get the Entirely, Absolutely Unnecessary pair of printed Ti Levers for my Saint Brakes on one of my old , retired DH bikes - they are going for $269 USD........ They don't do them (yet) for the Hopes I use on my current DH bike.
There's a Lot more Titanium in that Sword, than a pair of bloody tiny DH levers, that's for sure!
Were just happy you guys received the attention you needed.
There is really nothing to say. It's not the greatest bike in the universe and they won't be racing supercross.
If you have to ask....
Some still at 250$ highest currently at 1600$
That 2 minute video is the most professional production that has come out of the moto industry in the last 15 years.
Moto or not, that will get even more eyes on the company. Lets not forget Yamaha produces instruments.
Pit Row
As long as they keep getting a loan for another 25-30 mil every year they will be just fine.
Excuse me, may I axe you a question. This is last years weapon.
Makes you wonder what's next 🤣
as a stark owner, these moves feel desperate to me. i hope it's kind of what somebody said above, that it's the team playing with their new toys and having some fun doing it.
i was an engineer with tesla for nearly a decade and i felt the same way about some of the non auto drops that were being promoted (both within the brand and across the elon-sphere). Although i still have a bottle of tesla tequila unopened in my home office.
You're way off, homie. It's a gift, just like last year.
Agreed, it’s just a fun project that breaks up the monotony of everyday work and gives them a way to connect with their customers. 3D printing titanium is not cheap so I’d be very surprised if they’re making any money off this, I’d imagine it’s just a fun marketing project that happens to somewhat pay for itself.
Edit: Won the auction for #485!
On my interview checklist for Zoom/Video interviews:
Does the candidate have any swords on the wall or indications of Dungeons & Dragons obsession (is that even a thing anymore)?
It's his fantasy.
I won a sword. Has anyone received theirs yet? The prices people paid seem all over the board.
What did you pay?
250. It said I won number 90 and asked for my address. But it sounded like it was some sort of auction. It didn’t make any sense
