Great to get the improvement in purse, but geez the lower half of the 250 guys wouldn’t have even covered costs for the three race series.

So does Jett get $1,002,000 for winning the 450s and finishing 22nd in the 250s?

The pay discrepancy between 450 and 250s is absolutely ridiculous outside of the top 5.

$4.251M in purse money.  From 11 down to 22 in the 250’s (27% of the riders) share $100K between them (2.3% of the money).  Who’s the first 250 privateer?  Is it Pierce Brown, with $14K?

Marchbanks, Nichols and Masterpool did well for themselves in the 450’s.

Bulk of the money went to factory riders.

Pierce Brown rides for Factory Gas Gas. Looks like Dilan Schwartz is the first privateer.

56% of the total purse goes to the top 3 in each class.

Cool to see Colt Nicholas working hard and getting that dollar 🙂

Stoked for all the privateers and guys paying their own way. Cool to see Coty Schock some more too, good dude.

Tomac just outside the cash. Just imagine if he got 22nd without doing a race.

this is so y’all know the per event purse on top of what is quoted above me. So $1200 just to show up in the LCQ. 3 races this month paid $3600 for anyone who did all three races and finished last in the LCQ.

So Jett won $1,102,000? Won the overall for the day, won the SMX title AND finished 22nd in 250s. Nice payday.

Don't forget his base salary, win bonuses and championship bonuses too. Plus there's the money paid him by outside sponsors for clothing, goggles, etc. and of course Red Bull! Good year for sure!!

Win bonuses were likely $1K per win in the outdoors series. I've no idea what his championship bonuses are.

He gets paid a lot more than $1000 for a national win.

More like 100k per win.

Quick janky Photoshop for those who don't like scrolling (overall champ payouts, not including individual races)

Marchbanks definitely earned that $120k, the kid put in a really solid year. Is he 250SX/450MX again next year or full time 450?

Yeah the 250’s aren’t exactly a golden goose if you’re a privateer.

Club is wasting his time if spending another year on a 250.

I wonder if the factory racers got most of the money because they are the fastest 🤔

That's a respectable payday. I found the LA race pretty exciting with good racing and all that money on the line. The money makes a difference for the riders and audience, I think.
