One day you'll eventually take a shit and Deegan's balls will be in your toilet bowl.
Right now they are probably deep in your large intestine.
Whether you choose to flush or re-ingest them is up to you.
Barcia was a much better 250 sx rider
He'll re-ingest them. His whole body would shut down if either Brian's or Haiden's nuts were removed.
I agree. Apart from the over revving that is. Barcia was a better 250 SX rider than Deegan is (at this stage) but not as good a motocross rider.
The Shop
I remember people talking about Dean Wilson winning the 2014 SX West championship easily, then Jason Anderson and Cole Seely showed up. The beautiful thing about this sport is that after the off season, some young talents in the 250 class suddenly have the speed that matches their potential.
I do have to say though, I expected Deegan to be more dominant this year after the last three SMX races end of 2024. He made a big hype for himself with his social media, that comes with a lot of pressure.
One guy got 3 podiums in his second year of MX and the other won the championship a round early so yeh no for sure this comparison seems pretty awesome
I honestly don't think Deegan is or will ever be a great supercross rider. He has no finesse, Jett is a mile ahead in terms of technical ability. Outdoors though is a different story, he is an animal with insane fitness and I can't wait to see him on a 450.
Random thought, but is it easier to 'finess the bike' when you are tall like Jett and Sexton? ...when you are shorter your upside will be built like a tank (don't get hurt when crash) and bulldogging insane speed?
Pretty sure its well proven that technique is not effective on a 450. His style will need to chance.
Put him on Eli’s bike for the east races
I’ve said this many times, but the “aggressive style doesn’t work on a 450” thing has been demonstrably false for the last 20 years
Speaking of SX only - Deegs was being touted as the second coming of MC since he was about 10 - then here comes the Lawrence’s from seemingly nowhere - it sure seemed convenient to slow roll 250s because they know Jett is superior. Now some new talent has slipped in behind them and the pressure is on.
I would love to see nothing more than JuJu be the spoiler. It sucks because I originally liked Deegs and my kid and watched the YT show but ever since the ClaimGate it seems like his punk attitude has taken over and he has shown he is no role model. And yes I believe in that stuff for my kid.
He had a real chance to be a great young man and carry the US SX torch but IMO the greatest dirt bike marketing guy of all time (according to @jWeege) underestimated the voice of guys actually buying dirtbikes who value class and humbleness - and instead marketed to teens and those in a social media comatose.
My point was that this topic has already been beaten to death and people are overly obsessing with the kid
Claimgate was a huge black eye for Deegans, Star Racing, the AMA, and national amateur racing.
Deegan was supposed to be America's generational talent and although he has had more success than almost any other guy starting their career in the last decade I'm having a harder time believing the hype the more I see him.
Really!!! Did the guy think that a star Yamaha was going to make him a star….wtf the guy was an ahole. I have been beaten more times by guys on stock bikes with purebred talent than I can count. He has talent, get up close and watch it instead of TV couch potato.
It's in the rulebook. Don't bring a bike you don't want to be claimed.
"Speaking of SX only - Deegs was being touted as the second coming of MC since he was about 10"
What? who was saying that?
During Amateur's he was disregarded as good, just Daddy money making him win.
AC on the other hand was way more hyped during amateur's than Deegan.
Pit Row
The one thing that blows my mind about haiddn outdoors isnt even about haiden but the other riders. The fact that he can will himself to the front by wanting it more, twisting the throttle more, and sending it harder is absolutely ridiculous. That should not work at the pro level. In amateurs sure you can get away with that, but at the pro level that should be impossible. The fact that he makes it work (or has made it work so far) is an indictment of the current crop of 250 riders. Hopefully this will change soon, but NOBODY should be able to beat you in the pros by trying harder or wanting it more.
That’s what I’ve been saying, this is actually the perfect time to get him some 450 experience, Christian Craig and Jeremy Martin style
Time will tell. How does Kardeegian recover mentally from not winning a championship on the coast that is completely devoid of the competitors meant to be on his level? How will Magoofball still spin it somehow as proof of Jett fans being the problem and Vital users being dumb. Time. Will. Tell.
Deegan is fine. I’m not a fan, but he doesn’t need my support. He’s fine. Fast. Fine.
I see the same thing. I can absolutely see him winning a 450 mx title. I don't see him ever being the guy in sx. Not while Jett is around and they aren't that far off in age so it's going to be his whole career
I can absolutely see him not doing jack in 450 indoors or out as long as Sexton, Webb, Tomac + Roczen (as long they want to be around), Prado, and the Hunter brother’s anuses all point to the ground. Then you have Juju, Vialle, Davies, Hymas and others that are going to surpass him. His fans have been deluded by his results in a feeder class. Madly (self) overhyped kid who at best will be the new Barcia. With a good start he will “dangerbam” people trying to pass him to try score a podium. With a bad start…. lol.
Well I think you can argue he’s surpassed the original “believe th hype” guy 😎.
He a great rider and will do just fine - the generational talent piece is unknown.
What is interesting to me is the grit part - seems like most of the grittiest US guys came from seemingly nothing- rode crap minis and coached by parents.
Deegs has had literally everything possible thrown at him to become a winner. He should have breezed through 250s.
I think it will be very interesting to see how he deals with the hardships coming in the 450 class. It’s def not going to be a walk in the park and add in abunch of guys that would like to “initiate “ him into the big boy club - should be fun to watch.
Personally I think the 250 ship has sailed if you don’t win it in the first couple of years you kind of loose the hype IMO.
If he wins this year he is on the same pace as Jett. Jett got beat by Colt Nichols in his 2nd year, won in his third.
He looked better in his third year than Deegan has so far, though
LMAO. Another butthurt unhinged Jett super fan. Maybe you might want to upsize those Jett pajamas since they seem to be chafing your vag....
I love how some of these Karens think I'm "all about the Deegs" just for making fun of the DDS.
LMAO, another unhinged Deegan worshipper who can't possibly read another opinion without calling them unhinged/made up syndrome/other braindead shit.
Vital users are dumb. Your post and many other posts prove that time and time again.
Haiden Deegan just happens to bring your stupidity out in the light for everyone to see.
Exactly. RC, RV, and Tomac are all aggressive riders who not only adapted well to the 450, but won titles on it.
This isn't the 500 two stroke days.
