Looking for help with some local knowledge of anything open this Thursday? I know there’s rain coming Wednesday, I’m trying to stay in northern NC and Virginia and was hoping to ride south fork Saturday and Sunday. Any recommendations of something open Thursday or possibly even next Tuesday, I’ll mtb Friday and Monday to fill the gaps. Last minute trip and probably the worse couple weeks of weather before it gets nice but all I can do in the next month and not worth me making the trip for just Saturday and Sunday

If you find something open let me know, is cowbranch good? They don’t post online much so hard to tell when they’re open, for Nc I’ve only ridden west craven jwtf and ncmp before.
Cowbranch is really fun. They were doing practices Wednesday and weekends when I was down there a few months ago
WC, Jammers, and NCMP are better than CowBranch, but it's not bad. All tracks should be open during the week. Try the NCMX facebook for track updates, we just got hammered with rain.

If they’re open after Wednesday’s rain I’ll most likely be at JWTF Thursday by the looks of it. Was trying to avoid going that far south just to drive back north for the weekend. Tough to commit driving down on Wednesday when stuff might get rained out by the time I get there
Check out Windy Hill in Ellerbe. Mostly sand, so it'll soak up everything
A buddy is helping operate it, they are racing this weekend unfortunately for me
We got hammered yesterday. Cowbranch is closed today and tomorrow. They are calling for more rain Wed, if so WCMX is going to be your best bet!
Jammers is closed till Friday. West Craven is wet today but I plan on riding there tomorrow.

West Craven might be your best bet with all this rain. There's a small track called 5 Points that's open every day. He's been grooming it lately. Morgan's Corner is another spot but only open on the weekends. If you are in the area, there is an indoor event Friday and Saturday evenings at the Bob Martin Center in Williamston, NC.
I might get stuck to doing Saturday-Monday for riding I had asked on FB about Weinerts and got told the same. For some reason I can’t ride West Craven to save my life I go there every winter and just feel terrible lol. Planning on south fork for Saturday for sure and possibly Sunday, if not Weinerts Sunday. I’d do Weinerts Friday but really want to not have my first day riding in three months and on a new bike not be mud haha
I haven't been to South Fork in over ten years, I need to go back. It was a fun layout when I last went.
It took me forever to figure out how to ride WC, I had to learn from a Southwick local and now I love the place. My bike doesn't love it though.
I ride southwick multiple times a month and I’m a sand guy lol. Something about the consistency of it I feel like I’ve never ridden before it’s odd, south fork is really fun layout and can feel like two different tracks if they rip it or not, I like riding moto there because there’s really good mtb riding nearby
Cow branch is open again!?! How do you find out when they are open? That track was alot of fun and safe before they started running it backwards. Counterclockwise killed the flow IMHO.
I had just searched the name on Instagram, new owner took over last spring. The Instagram handle is @cowbranchmxpark bio says every Wednesday and weekends and there’s a phone number
The sand tracks are gonna be your best bet with all the rain we've been getting (it's still raining now (Wed evening))
Cowbranch is good, I wish it was a little longer personally. It's been changed to run clockwise again and has some new jumps to make it more challenging than it was before.
I think I'll be there Sunday.
That’s the closest to where I’ll be Saturday so that might work. I’ll be 724 on a Kawi if you see me come by

I'll be out at South Fork on Saturday. Should be a good day. He took out the jump closest to the road so the "talladega" turn is back, should be a lot of fun. Halfway through the day the ruts have been getting really good. Jon always keeps it prepped right. As far as I know, NCMP is open everyday. Cow Branch is definitely still going. Seen some videos on YT from there this past week. Hope you get some good riding in. Where are you going to MTB?
I ride Pocahontas state park every time I go south, I think I go south for that as much as moto. I ride bike parks a lot but Pocahontas is by the best XC trails I’ve ever ridden with some flow and small jumps added in. I can’t believe what your state parks program is able to do and have that be $8, up north all trails are self made and maintained by local riders and not 10% as good as what you guys have. I’ll be riding that Friday if any trails are open and again Saturday afternoon or Monday. I’ll see you at South Fork 👍🏻
Pocohontas is great! Glad you have found some good spots to ride. Freedom is one of my favorites as well as New Quarter. New Quarter is def. XC. Only one trail but its a good one. Few laps through that and I'm burnt.

If I’m running from the rain and they avoid it small chance I ride there monday. I saw they’re closed through the weekend doing machine maintenance
