One of the most compelling things, I think, is that Fox was so far from being able to prevail that they couldn’t force a ‘non-disclosed sum’ clause into their settlement. If they were just settling to not go through the hassle of a trial, that would be standard.

I actually would have liked to have seen some of their evidence in defense, but based upon the settlement it doesn’t sound like there could have been much.

Their literal argument was that the things they said shouldn’t be taken seriously. That they don’t state actual facts and just engage in exaggerated commentary. Nothing they say should be taken seriously, as they state non literal things on their shows.

That was their actual argument in court. Hilarious.

What amazes the rest of the world is how Democrats are for clean environment but yet their backyard is full of SHIT!!!

MSNBC and CNN will be gone soon, nobody is buying the Kool Aid any more.

They have to keep the lie going, but advertisers will keep spending their money where they get results.

News Broadcasting is in the death spiral that print media has already got to the bottom of.

Their only hope for survival is to tell the truth, but they cant do that, becasue their owners cant have us knowing it

It became apparent long ago that ALL, New York/DC based cable, news networks were anything but the news and info sources they present themselves to be.

Local television news is even worse.

Nothing but weather, and traffic reports sponsored by local car dealers, and the ensuing ambulance chasing attorneys when those cars are wrecked.

So it's always hilarious when everyone here gets a red ass over everything fox news says, while watching their favorite entertainers on cnn, and msnbc.

It's all about ad revenue.

And the majority of it comes from the big drug manufacturers.

Y'all keep taking those pills, and staring into the screen.

Leaked Ted Cruz audio attempting to overturn the 2020 election. Yikes. He barely beat Beto, a more left leaning Dem than most are, in Texas of all places, and this was pre J6 and pre election denialism. Wonder how Cruz will do in 2024?

He beat beto 50.9 to 48.3% 215,000 votes, that's a lot of votes to harvest in texas. Not sure if they are allowing the mail in ballot scam to persist but without that, I'd say he has at least a  300,000 lead to overcome.

I predicted the election shit show when the mail in ballots were announced in June of 2020, due to the Scamdemic.

Any evidence of fraudulent mail in ballots on a widespread scale? Because that comment is lame as hell.

Cruz barely beat Beto in 2018, who literally said hell yes we are coming for your AR15. To say that in Texas and still almost win is insane.

Cruz won in 12 by 1.3M (56% to 40%) and in 18 by 200K (50% to 48%). Obviously a 1.1M drop in his winning margin total and a 14% drop in his winning margin percentage.

His last election was pre J6 and pre released audio tapes. Trump’s margin of victory, also pre J6 and everything since, dropped from 800K to 400K from 16 to 20. So it’s not like he will have a super popular Republican POTUS candidate to carry him across the finish line. Unless it isn’t Trump, which I don’t foresee.

Going by that 200K number, it’s really only half that. If half of those voters, 100K, flip on Cruz, that’s it. Millions of people have turned 18 and registered to vote since his last election, and they always lean Democrat.

I’d still be shocked to see Texas flip, but looking at the numbers, it’s not out of the question.

The Beto train may have run out of steam. Sure, I dig skateboarding and a.t.d.i., but that dude was waaay left of the dial. Texas democrats haven’t run a competent statewide candidate since Ann Richards (who was a badass, BTW).

Cruz won’t win any popularity contests here in the Lone Star State, but that R next to his name may be enough. Crazy to think that old Ted stood up against Trump at the GOP convention, only to become his lap dog a few months later. Such is the political machine.

The republican-controlled governorship and legislature has passed several controversial bills recently. Continuing down this path will help solidify a dwindling base but motivate others to vote. The short term gain could result in long term pain.

I would say Dan Crenshaw is exactly what this country needs.

I  think every news show predicting the "Red Wave" kept Texas voters home.

I waited about 5 minutes in the polling place in Arlington.

People got complacent.

I don't think Texas was the only state seeing that.

The population centers of Texas are being overrun with transplants that are definitely changing the voting dynamics. My county used to be considered one of the more conservative counties in Texas, but with the arrival of Toyota, Liberty Mutual and others, plus a lot of tech firms, that is rapidly changing. I have transplants living on three sides of my property (2 California, 1 Massachusetts), and trucks and SUV's are being replaced by Tesla's and E-tron's in my neighborhood. The mid-term numbers were eye-opening locally, just a matter of time before the votes from Dallas, Houston, Austin and San Antonio, and their surrounding counties, turn the State blue. I miss not having to put up with political advertising during campaign season because the Dems used to not even try in my area.

Hey, hey. Those big drug manufacturers are making something that's keeping me on the right side of the grass.

Don't shit on them too much. LOL
