I have been needing to have the doc's look at my neck for about 4 years. That wasn't enough for the wife and her sister. The last physical I had was when I retired from the Air Force in "96. I haven't even needed an aspirin in the last 10 years or so. Since they and everyone they know at our age has diabetes, high blood pressure, depression, bad cholesterol and God knows what all...I have to run every test known to medicine until they find something.
I'm hoping they prescribe sex 3 times a day. 🙃
My mom always told me "my body may be getting old but my mind still feels young". She'll be 80 soon and she was right, gotta hold onto a young spirit so only half of you gets old.
Death by snu snu
I'm tired of hearing CAG Stinger in my head....
It can all change as quickly as overnight
The Shop
No doubt. I guess I take after my old folks. If you don't have trouble eatin', shittin', pissin' and getting yer chores done then why go pay a man to find something wrong with ya?🙃
Be careful what you wish for.
I'd happily give both my testicles to feel like I was 20 again.
I drink a lot of water during the day and for some reason I get up every hour after midnight to take a leak.
Plowboy, sex 3 times a night might be a bit much...hahaha..
Without your testicles, you sure as hell wouldn't be feeling like you were at 20, Boom!
As for the taking multiple leaks through the night - besides the 'P' problem old bastards can tend to have, you might be on the verge of / have Diabetes, Boom. I had the same problem,(drinking Lots of Water, and continuously pissing like fountain, foolishly thinking it meant things were good for me) ignored it, and almost carked it because I didn't get Type 2 diagnosed earlier.
Thanks Bearuno, I'll make an appointment with my Doc. My last medical was about 18 months back and I came out clean.
Turning 54 this coming Monday...it's worrying, time is running out.
Hope the rest of you bastards are all doing well.
Edit - 3 of the dudes I work with are all in their early 30's. Yesterday morning we did push-ups. One guy made it to 49, I struggled to 37, the other two dudes could not even make 25.
We, I have a day off today, lying on my bed suffering...sore shoulders and upper arms from them push-ups. 😂
My plan going forward is to exercise more and try get into better shape.
A dr,s dream patient, find out what’s wrong with me. Lol expect Ct scans, mri,s , blood drawn & tested. Your supposed to hv that done after 50 , a psa I think it might b called. It checks everything in your body. My body is done these 1099 trks beat & pulverized it. 3 inches shorter in a 1 1/2 yrs or so. Bulging disk in back, all of them r blown out in my neck. All the joints shot. This trk blows every center meter of the body out. I could do sit-ups for 14 hrs easier than driving it.
Hope everything tests out good. Living with aches and pains and sore spots and parts that don't move right anymore due to beating ourselves up our entire lives and now paying for it when we get old is nothing to complain about (imo) That shit's on us we're the lucky ones 😆 It's the other stuff that scares me. I'm with you on the don't go looking too hard to find something wrong plan, but an oil and plug check every 100K miles is probably a good idea. Hope you get good news and the prescription you want
I'm 56! This is from last weekend. My mind still thinks I am in my 20s.
I’m glad you’re going to see a doctor. I had a stroke before I started seeing a doctor.
My 89 year old uncle used to say “ growing old ain’t for the pussies “
Arthritis in my fingers from 30 years of moto , They hurt when aggravated like hammering a nail into something solid or using a 3/8 allen wrench cranking on a bolt....
Your post immediately brougth to mind one of the greatest billboard/reactions ever....
At least us that hurt now probably lived our lives, we were more than just alive.
I have a buddy who’s a marathon runner, always in great shape, drinks little, eats well, really looks after himself. He went for a physical and body scan and was rushed to hospital for a blood vessel in his heart that was about to burst. He’d be dead if he didn’t go. Same reason you change the top end on a 2t before it blows, preventive maintenance!

I'm going to go see my new doctor for the first time 3 weeks from now. We'll see how she and I get along. (Yes, she's a woman. That's going to be extra weird for the ol' prostate test, I bet!)
My biggest problem with doctors is trying to get them on board with my plan to never take any medications. I'm going to run 150 miles a day and eat nothing but salad and birdseed before I start taking blood pressure medicine.
I've been very lucky with some genetic things over the years and after moving to Texas I had to get a new primary doctor. Once again, he assumed I'd have Type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, etc. Just got another round of bloodwork, A1c is 4.6. He thought it had to be wrong so they checked it again while I was in the office, 4.5. He thought that the nurse must have used the wrong cuff when taking my BP, because it was relatively 'normal' (it has creeped up a bit over the last 10 years) at 125/82 or something like that. Took it again himself and it was nearly identical.
But it's just luck of the draw, not good habits for me. I know my joints are going to start rebelling soon.
You should say to the doc when she put on the gloves and asks you to bend over...."usually I pay for dinner and a few cocktails before this kinda action"
😁
That's a pretty precarious position to say that on the first visit.🤣
I have a vegan friend who is in his 80s and rides 3x week and waterskis every week and never a health issue. His energy is amazing. I need some energy badly.
Hopefully you do not have the experience that my 92 year old mother did when she went to her new doctor in July.
The female doctor with a suspicious East German accent told mom,(and me and my sister as we always go to doctor visits with mom) that mom would do things her way or get a new doctor. Woman was a complete arrogant cunt.
So we got mom a new doctor. We test ride the new one on Nov 1.
Running 150 miles a day? What's the update on that running challenge from a few years back?
I feel you're pain TM. I'm 66, and during the summer months here it's hard to get outside and do much.
Usually we go up north to go camping and I get to ride my mountain bike. But Jan has not been physically able to do that.
This weekend we are going, but she is declining very fast and I just hope things will be okay for her, the Dr estimates she has 5 months to live. 😥
We have been pretty devastated and starting to prepare for that. It's a pretty sad and depressing situation, but I'm trying to make the best of it with her.
So sorry to hear that. I'm happy that you have made the last few years so good for her. I often think about when I started reading about Jan and think her and i as well as many others have actually been blessed with medications that extended our lives. But she has been a trooper with all the updates you've told us about, she's had a very rough last few years. I'd have to say she's very lucky to have you take care of her. Give her a hug from me please! My eyes are getting a bit wet here.
Thoughts and prayers brother!
That's rough. I have seen your posts about Jan and her cancer and I am sorry that this is what it has come down to.
I'm not much of a Christian, but I will pray for you to be able to find strength, though it will be hard, in the challenges you face in the near future.
I never ask God for the outcome I want, for that seems selfish. I just ask for the strength to deal with the challenges of life.
Yo, G - you might not see it said much on here. But there are I suspect a whole huge crowd on here thinking about you guys and quietly wishing you the best. And have been for quite some time. One right here for sure.
G- We're heading up north this week too, if you anywhere near the Mormon Lake area give me a rattle.
