Didn't Chase mention on Pulp on Monday that he didn't ride the star bike?
Sorry, but does no one remember Chase throwing the Honda to the ground numerous times? I do like to watch him ride but he has a serious mind f**k going on. The bike looks pretty good for Prado, Plessinger,Vialle, etc. He has all the tools he needs, witness Kroc on an ancient platform performing at a high level. But Jett is just better right now. If not for Jett how would the Honda look?
Maybe I'm crazy but everyone acting like chase should have something to regret right now is just confusing to me. He's on a new bike, crashes way way less, and is in the same points position he was in last year. What's the problem here? I don't see any reason to be anything but optimistic. If he just BS'ed everyone and told us he loved the bike from day 1 there would be no story here at all. I appreciate him just being open about things but look how some respond when he is open and you have your answer to why most guys keep things so secret.
It's also pretty clear that a lot of the old guard riders don't love chase but as far as I can tell their criticism is basically that he doesn't kiss the ring. It bothers them that it doesn't bother chase that they don't like him.

The Shop
I thought he chose the brand that would guarantee him he would be the number one guy under the tent.
Without Jett last season, Honda won a 250 outdoor, 250 supercross, 450 supercross title and 2nd in 450 outdoor, so the look was pretty good no?
lol yet Chase is faster than all you mentioned on a KTM on a SX track right now
So Tomac saying Chase is THE next guy means he doesn't like him? Obviously he didn't take into account Jett, but that was a pretty huge compliment coming from a living legend.
This thread reminds me of a girlfriend in my early 20’s, MANY years ago.
She was incredibly beautiful and sweet person, usually.
On her bad days…much, MUCH more complicated person and very insecure (she was way above my pay grade)
Eventually I had to escape that hot mess.
EVERY one of my friends and family could not fathom why I let her ‘get away’
We will never know why it went the way it did but for sure, we are all probably wrong with our theories why.
*looking back, shoulda put up with the crazy, see her on social many years later and she’s still an amazing beauty…oh well…
We are not even owed that. It's nice when it happens, but it's not incumbent on them to do so.
The way some go about it on here, you'd think they should be watching soap operas and TMZ instead.
I'm not talking about tomac, more the 40+ crowd
Watching Rick throughout his career, I don't think he would have backed off in the least for anything or anyone. Let alone a learning lesson.
Ah gotcha, my mistake man 🍻
All the Sexton negativity has always been very confusing to me. He rides his balls off, shows amazing grit and determination always finishing and coming back the following week no matter how many times he gets knocked down physically or psychologically for that matter and he gives great interviews being honest, humble and insightful. As previously stated here he is one of only 2 riders still with a shot at jet on a new bike and team that he admittedly has been slow to adjust to. As for Carmichael’s comments he never raced a European bike so in this instance they’re irrelevant. How did McGrath go when he switched to a ktm?
I need to correct myself based on something I overlooked. I understand that there is now betting available for SMX. In that case then they should not hide information from the general public that those in private have access to that could affect the outcome.
Sexton left Honda for the same reason RC left Kawasaki for Honda. He wanted to gain an advantage over his competition. If Sexton stayed at Honda with Jett Honda would put the most effort into the rider in the points situation. The only way to possibly gain an advantage was to go to another team.
It's rare anyone here thinks, or talks like, they're 'owed' or 'expect' to know the ins and outs.
People ask about things that they're interested in. Other people offer their thoughts or share stuff that's relevant (sometimes, hopefully), some people are in the know, some talk hypotheticals or best guesses, same as bench racing.
That's basically what this place is for?
Or ride faster and prove you are the number 1 guy.
Pit Row
Of course journalist owe people the truth and not lie. If caught lying it removes their credibility. If people can not trust their reports nobody will listen.
Chase wanted to be the clear number 1 guy a team in my opinion and the only place here was going to get that was at KTM/Husq.
He doesn't have the raw speed of his Honda but it's like 95% there, the big bonus is he's barely on the ground.
Listening to him it sounds like he is looking at the big picture this year, wanting to win and get up to speed in SX yes but it feels like once he clicks off another win or two he will be really solid come MX and SMX. It will be a little weird seeing a KTM up front in MX, since Musquin.
Is anyone keeping track of heat and main event crashes? I bet out of the top 5 in points he has crashed the least except for maybe Tomac?
If you call yourself a journalist , truth is part of the job description . End of story . If you call yourself anything other than a journalist , then the bullshit is fine . Ya I’m looking at you Mathis .
That was probably my favorite podium interview ever
"Chase is the next guy, but I'm still here" basically. So I pull for chase since eli endorsed him
The funny thing with Chase is that the only times he threw it away last year(in SX), was when he was by himself up front, not being pushed to ride over his head. It seemed like a concentration thing and not a bike issue. He does look a little more stable on the KTM, although he is definitely not as fast, but hopefully when gets there he can keep it upright.
How many times a minute does RC say in--er--esting?? WHOOOO
RC sucks in the booth...and he's sooo boring. No hot opinions. The english language is certainly not his playground!!
Those guys have so many bad takes on that T24 i thought I was watching The View.

Didn't Dungey run the KTM up front sometimes when Musquin also raced?
once or twice.
More sexton questioning on moto60 show this week. Matthes several times questioned whether you can win a championship unless you lie to yourself and convince yourself you're the man and everything is great. Seems to think openly talking about struggles is a weakness that holds you back from winning. Failed to mention that sexton has already won 3 championships being this guy. Seems like a bit of an oversight..... again, just such bizarre takes....
The star yamaha is undoubtedly a better bike currently, but star doesn't have to power/authority to make changes to the bike in the same way that KTM does. Thats one of the benefits of going with a "works" team as opposed to Star which doesn't have/make works parts on their bike, if they want to make changes they have to work with other companies. I think If KTM gives Chase what he wants it will end up being better than going to star.
