Unfortunately, no matter where the truth lies, the PR damage is done. Every social post from involved parties is riddled with "hate" comments and the story has somewhat blown up within the sport. No major outlets are reporting it yet (that I'm aware of?) but all the click baiters are going wild for it.

Hasn't it been reported that the Lawrence brothers honored their ausx agreement from before covid even though their market value now would be much higher now? Wonder if that has something to do with it? Like they're willing to honor the previous agreement if ausx doesn't turn around and pay others far more because they could then afford to?
And I still find it hilarious that Deegans were the only ones butt hurt enough to leak it on behalf of others.
If all of this stuff is true, I presume it's to get revenge on Deegan and Old Hombre by hitting their paychecks. Petty but effective - and also quite funny.

In a niche sport one would think this is massive news and journos would be all over it trying to find out what is going on...considering this is currently tanking the Lawrences reputation with the Deegans happily adding fuel to the fire.
So far we are into Day 2 with nothing but speculation and hearsay.

Darkside texted Deegan yesterday and talked about it on his podcast last night. Said that he also reached out to Anderson and someone from Lawrence camp. Deegan confirmed the story. Anderson said he had no idea but posted something for fun basically. No answer from Lawrence side. He also said ML reached out to Adam Bailey for comment from ausx side. The vital crew is trying!!!

if it hasn't been said, if i were team lawrence, i wouldnt want deegs there either. dude is gonna go wrecking ball* in an offseason race just to prove something and the golden bros (mirtl) don't wanna risk injury racing a sociopath for limited upside.
*as a fan, more power to deegs for racing the way he does, but looking at it from the lawrence's camp POV, it would make sense. that said i don't like Mirtl at all, and i'm not defending them either, if this is accurate.

They race different classes. Deegan can be aggressive. But in all honesty he isn’t stupid enough to take unnecessary risks in a meaningless race against nobodies. If he were in 450 class against Jett, hunter and Webb. He probably would try proving a point.
But in that 250 class he could lap second place easily without breaking a sweat. The standard of riding in Australia is ridiculously low compared to Europe and America.
