I saw a post on Instagram by Acerbis this weekend that said something about the Back in Black kit (green front black rear) coming out soon. I don't think there was a date though. I would imagine the normal kits would be out around the same time.

I called both Acerbis and Cycra when I first bought the bike and was told the kits wouldn't be available "until the end of the year." Kind of ambiguous. I haven't heard of a definite date.

The fact that the factory kawi had to run stock plastics on it the last 2 weekends isn't a good sign. They'd have it if anyone did.
Yeah I noticed that as well on the team's bikes. I would say by the end of the year will be best case scenario. Which is a pain because I'm one of those guys who likes to replace the stock plastic immediately to save it for when I put the bike up for sale.

Yea idk. I bet they'll have it by January for supercross obviously, but I wouldn't be surprised if your waiting till late feb/march for it. Seems like that's how it always goes.

At least you can get the front fender, #plate, and fork guards ?

Those look sweet. Honestly the normal stickers burn off in 3-4 hours here in Florida lol.

New Dirt Tricks sprocket and RK chain on. This coming week is going to be the big week as far as all the parts that have been ordered finally getting in and put on! This coming weekend I should have on: cycra stadium plate, graphic kit, seat cover, Faster USA hubs, exhaust decal, ARC levers, WC extended skid plate, and some other little WC items!

Those turned out pretty sick! I have a set for my fmf exhaust but going to wait for the new ones to burn off first. Hard to pull brand new ones off when they don't last very long anyways. What are you have Pro Curcuit do to your suspension?

Appreciate it! Yeah I'm going to go ahead and put a set on haha I can't wait for the stock to burn off.

My buddy said he had his stuff sent to them before LLs the year before last and he said they basically did a "B" kit for him, so I'm not sure what that entails but the plan is to look into that. I may get the uppers kashima coated eventually but that'll be another time.

Generally speaking though, I'm having them set up for my weight and skill. It'll be resprung, revalved, adding their works bladder cap to shock reservoir to increase oil volume, upgrading the fork spring seats, and upgrading the shock collar to an aluminum one (Kawi has a plastic one on the new 19 450s for some reason)

Very nice! Kashima coating is sick just crazy expensive. I'm having racetech do my suspension pretty much same thing as you set for my weight with little additions like gold valves and the metal collars as well. Some people have been able to adjust them by hand that's the reason they are plastic. I couldn't do mine by hand and don't want to mar it to hell.

Oh I know it's super pricey! We clear coated the uppers, had the lowers Ti-ni coated, the lugs coated, and the internals kashimaed. After the internals we had added and some other upgraded components it was almost the same as just buying kit suspension.

Yeah that makes sense with the collars. I would still rather have metal either way, just something about plastic that makes it feel cheap. But nice! Having your suspension set up for you specifically is arguably the most important part. I love seeing builds that buy the best cosmetic stuff but don't touch the suspension haha

Those bump sticks are form my last build btw. Didn't mean to insinuate they were for this one if it came across that way!

Thanks! Might treat the new forks to some of that lovin' too, eventually haha

Really like how this turned out! However, I am a little worried at the fact these aren't aluminum graphics like the stock ones are... but we'll see, they look good at least!

Seat cover and side plate graphics going on tomorrow (waiting for new shroud graphics instead of ones I have, as I had hologram inlay added to my main logo and had another logo added). Thinking about doing radiator hoses as well.
Obviously going to be a lot easier to do skid plate and oil filter cover when I get my suspension and wheels back haha. Speaking of which, wheels will be done tomorrow. Still probably have another week on suspension unfortunately.

A local guy here in southern IN. He owns a bicycle shop so he has all the equipment to lace and true the wheels. We've taken my wheels to him for as long as I can remember

Or do you mean brand? I'm running Faster USA with the stock rims if so

Twin Air Power Flo is in! The stock cage having the screen imbedded is such a pain.

Oh man I am completely with you on the stock air filter setup being a real pain! Not a big fan that they made the filter bigger than the compartment it goes into IMO. Could just be because was running a loudmouth setup on my 13 kx450 (that I LOVED). What are you thoughts on this air filter set up? I'm considering following suit.

Very nice! If you don't mind me asking how much did it cost to go that route? I want to get green hubs but weighing my options on whether to get another wheel set or get just the hubs like you did.

I absolutely love the power flo setup. Normally I'd just pop the screen out but this one was a real pain, in addition to the overall set up just being shit imo. The actual Twin Air filter fits a lot better than stock as well. Overall the kit doesn't makeup for the sucky design but it makes it a lot easier on you!

I think it was around $600 for the hubs after tax. And we've been going to our wheel guy for a while so he helps us out on that so I'm not sure what it would cost to have it done honestly. I'd say around $100 tops? I could be way off though haha. Here's a picture of them. Everything I've read has been really good review wise.

Went ahead and did the oil filter cover, radiator hoses, and the rest of the graphics minus the shrouds! Had a few Ti/drilled bolts laying around as well from a previous build so I added those to the radiators while it was apart

Appreciate it, the hubs look even better in person I highly recommend them! But yeah kinda going all out haha. I did a similar build on my 17 crf450 last year but we spaced it out (not knocking you going that route at all) and I ended up missing almost all of the winter -- Riding down south and the AX series because of how long the suspension took and getting the parts we wanted etc. So just kinda decided to get it all done at once this time! It's still kinda spaced out but it's not a do a little here and there type deal like the past.
I'm not sure if I'm going to do clamps yet. I may end of getting the current ones polished down. I would love some xtrig though haha. And what ECU are you going to do? I honestly haven't looked into that realm yet
