I'm not looking to lynch or blow the guy, simply wondering what the deal is.
Glossing over any Detroit weirdness, and obviously everyone has their fans and not, but there seems to be a lot of people who really dislike Webb?
I may be wrong and I'm likely missing something too, but I never see much of a reason given?

The Shop
You can rest assured the same handful of refugees from the other "Webb thread" will set up camp here for the next few days.
And it's hilarious watching people absolutely lose their frikkin minds over every single thing he does, or says.
"He cracked, I didnt" is Stuff of legend!
When Adam was was asked about that statement at A1 press conference the following year, I wished he'd said "Sorry, who said what?" Like Webb was a no-one and his statement meant nothing!
Brilliant!
I like his honesty.... Brutally honest. The reason folks do not like him (other than his ears and voice), we have evolved into a culture where people would rather hear what they want to hear vs, the truth (which will offend half of Vital, if that is you, downvote this).. Webb provides no lip service, no scripted sponsor plugs while reading the stickers on his bike, whatever happened good or bad, he speaks without thinking or worry about what people will think.
As the sport has matured, sponsors and teams are looking for riders that emit less negativity. Others want to keep that 'outlaw spirit', and they love Webb.
Coop's demeaner is a big part of why he has won championships.
I didn't much like Hannah, Carmichael, or even McGrath at times, the arrogance, but I'm sure they are not too concerned. lol
Actually those 3 are known to be very fan friendly, just not competition friendly.
I almost forgot about Stewart, who seems so friendly and gracious.. Than I remember that savage move he pulled on Reed when he purposely let him by just so he could pass him right back and crush his inflated ego.
I always figured you've got to have a little arrogance to win a championship at that level, even if you hide it, but I get being straight up about it can rub some people the wrong way the same way some find it amusing.
Also assumed a lot of it was just die hard Roczen fans getting mad which is fair enough if Kenny's your dude, cheers.
Pit Row
That makes him not a fan favorite
But, he doesn't care
He gets knocked on his speed too but his cornering skills are first rate. In the final left hand turn coming into the start finish line at Indy it was amazing how he and Eli were landing and immediately railing a 90 degree left hander. Nobody else was close to being as smooth or fast. Yeah he’s got a chip in his shoulder but he admits it.
Ya'll seem more affected by the haters than Webb himself
I'm sure the AC fan boys were upset but it was 100% true.
