Depends on the logos and the painters, more and more are I using plotter/printers and clearing over top of them. It's a faster way to do fonts and logos.

That will leave a ridge on the edge of the sticker?I'm sure its difficult but don't you want a smooth finish? No raised edges?

Not as much as you would think. After clear and highlights it sometimes not noticeable. Plotters/printers are in almost every top helmet painters studio

No I don't but my brother does. He's one of the best custom painters in North America. He mainly paints Goalie Masks , he pretty much hates painting motocross helmets. It's a different style. The more popular mx helmets are mainly designs and graphics. Goalie masks are more art work, less graphic, less printer/plotter but Im not saying its not used in goalie masks because it is

Us at Tagger Designs paint on all the logos we do on helmets, except for the helmet manufacture's stickers (Bell, SHOEI,etc) and our visor sticker. I will try to post a pic of Justin Brayton's military themed SD lid tonight, we finished it last week!

Everyone has a unique style.
I like your helmet, but it is WAY beyond similarities... nearly every design element in the scheme is something that Tagger has popularized.

I just had an accident on the last one.

Its Kent Simpson's. He was the back up to the back up when Crawford got hurt then Nikoli Crappyboolin got hurt (again) so they called up two very green rookies. I think only came in relief once.

Here's my son's helmet. This was my 1st attempt at painting a helmet. He's a big SouthPark fan.

That's a sick picture, I'll have to send it to my bro.
My bro also did the Canadian mens Skelton helmet, Eric Nelson. "Demon eyes"

Bronson905 that Brayton helmet is sick.

My favorite lid of yours is the DVS lid for Jonny. I'm surprised bell hasn't made that design a stock helmet. I love it.

You're right, what do I know...I'm only a professionally trained artist with a background in advertising design (the training for which involves recognizing and learning numerous styles of artwork).

So when I say that the style choices and design elements are the same as those Tagger uses, believe me because I know what I'm talking about. If you want me to get very speciffic I will, but this has already turned into way more than I care for. I said I liked your helmet but you seem to be butthurt and can't believe that it looks like a Tagger helmet.

Haha not really butthurt but thanks for being concerned. You being a professinally trained artist and all you must have painted a helmet at one time or another?I'm sure you could come up with something original since you have learned numerous styles of artwork.Do you have a helmet?Post it if you do.If not?Go somewhere else.

Yeah that lid was something else! Jonny from DVS requested what he wanted painted on his lid, and I think we nailed it. It got a ton of love and it is totally different from our style, but it goes to show we can do anything Wink

There was a piece about these helmets on Yahoo's front page maybe a month or so ago.

Your brother is one bad mofo!!!

The demon eyes one is out of this world. The detail is what really really makes his helmets.

I have been following him on instagram for a while and knew he did really good work. I just happened to see someone like his picture from the Sharks and started following him. Tell him keep up the great work, he has got a fan right here!

TLD has the best graphics/designs of any helmet company straight from the show room floor. For it not being a custom, they sure do a really good job.

But the custom aspect is really cool, just being able to bring your ideas to life is pretty cool.

Tagger would be my choice to have a custom lid painted.
