Did you go a size up in your Astars Tech 10s?

Time to replace my Gaernes, and I’m going with Alpinestars Tech 10s.

I wear size 11 street shoe, and a size 11 Tech 10 feels snug. The size 12 feels comfortable and borders on roomy.

Does the Tech 10 bootie or boot pack out at all after it breaks in some? I’d go with an 11, but my toes are at the end of the toe box and worry hitting a rut or putting my foot down hard in a corner would result in black toenails.

Also, the length of my Gaernes is quite a bit shorter than the length of the Alpinestars so I also worry about where my foot would be on the pegs and accidentally hitting the shifter or brake due to the extra length.

I went up a size. 9 in every shoe (not sure other boots), but have always been 10 in Astars.

Yep, with the old generation and with the 2016 model. They fit pretty tight because of the bootie. 11 shoe size but size 12 in tech 10’s.

A Stars, Gearne and Sidi are all Italian companies and their lasts are designed for european sizing (the number starts with 4X).

Order based on the Euro size chart and size your feet accordingly. A star and Gearne both sell size 12s but they’re actually 47/12.5 and may be too large.

I'm a 10.5 in street shoes but I've always worn size 10 Alpinestars, even the ones with booties.

Get what you feel most comfortable in, however, its better to have less room than more. You don't want your foot moving around a whole lot in the boot.

43 is a 9, and 44.5 is a 10.

I go down a size. I wear an 11 street shoe and a 10 boot. The boots loosen up a lot after a moto or so, and I have weak ankles.

11 street/running shoes and always 11 Tech10’s.

I also wore size 11 Gaernes (sg10/12s)before I switched over. Ive had 6 pairs of tech 10s since(including the latest generation now).

I’ve heard the only difference between size 11 and 12 Tech 10s are the inner bootie size for what it’s worth. Don’t quote me on that

I am 10.5 street shoes. I went a half size down in tech 10s and a size and half down in tech 7s. I could probably even go smaller on the 10s...

Am i the only guy that goes DOWN a size in Alpinestars boots when compared to my regular shoes? I wear a size 10 shoe which fits me perfectly, and have to wear a size 9 in Alpinestars to get a snug fit. Maybe i just like my boots tight fitting and everyone else is weird and likes their feet to have wiggle room.

I wear an 11.5-12 street shoe and I wear a size 11 in Tech 10's because I like a tighter fit and they dont feel to small.

I’d say for most people they are true to size. I have a fairly wide foot and still wear my normal shoe size of 10. I’ve had the last 3 generations including the current one and wore a 10 in all of them.

I wear size 15 shoes and size 14 Tech 10s. I guess I’m opposite of everyone else here. I got lucky this year and scored a pair of brand new Tech 10s on EBay from a dealer in Italy for half price. I guess size 14 probably isn’t a big seller in Italy.

Just bought a new set of tech 10s. I wear an 8 in tennis shoe, an 8 in my new boots is pretty darn snug. Like have to push my foot in with my hand snug.

With the new style tech 10s I went up a size but I hate the bootie after being in sg12s . The sgs went to a bigger boot shell and I don't like them anymore

Latest gen Tech 10's are slightly snugger and slimmer overall. They do break in/ stretch a bit but dont expect much, nothing like the last generation. I wear size 11.5 street shoe/Vans etc and I wear 11's in Tech 10 and they are perfect for me.
