Well, if the teams let’s that slide without consequences, it is on them for what they wind up with. Kind of behavior I expect out of a 5 year old,throwing a temper tantrum.

Kicking stuff, breaking minor items etc when angry is still poor behaviour and if an employee/contractor did that in my workplace they’d be fronting up for a please explain. Ghost riding a bike into a pit area is escalating that to a different level and deserves an appropriately escalated response. Worse still if it was done publicly and (reportedly) nearly hit other people.

Well per the guys who saw it the bike almost hit GM and he was pissed off about it.

I'd be very interested to learn how this topic would go down both internally and externally if Marchbanks had a bad ride and ghost rode his bike, nearly hitting Chase..

I would like a more detailed account. Did the bike go 3’ and tip over or 30’ and bounce off the rig, toolboxes, or whatever? I am not a fan of ghost riding at all, but there are variations worth considering. A very serious warning to looking for any way to fire his ass without giving him a penny. Honestly I’d already be looking at the latter, but that’s just me.

It's about respecting the guys on your team. You can go out back and throw your helmet if you have to. But never throw the bike.

At this point, I want to see him on Star so we can officially cross off all of the viable factory teams and he can tell us the Star bike sucks too 😝

Did anyone else here on vital have a little hunch when they heard that Chase was going to Kawi that this “was” going to happen? Either it was going to be good or be nasty.

lol yes because kawi wants to spend millions of dollars for guys with no chance of getting podiums. Chase has a problem. It’s his dad. Kawi has problems, and it’s their factory R&D team (and management). They absolutely cannot let another top guy out of their contract years early, which is why now they are finally throwing everything they can to fix it. Problem is, it’s years too late for development. Funny a few of you mentioned monster having a hard time because of the Prado incident. And, Marchbanks is running pretty much a full factory bike and Sexton’s bike remains an amalgamation of production/aftermarket components that changes each week. I hate to say it, but Marchbanks seems to be a more solid rider than Sexton at the moment. For the most part, he simply ‘just rides the bike” at a high level without bitching about it.
