Definitely something fishy happening here. The only person on the planet that has reported this is Keefer. Seems a little strange?

Damn, sucks for Ty Masterpool, kid had a ton of talent. How often do we see a second year pro, podiuming his first race back? Hope he can get some solid support maybe at a place like ClubMX.

Yeah that's a shout, but don't they already have Pierce Brown and Derek Drake? But maybe one of those two goes under the Redbull KTM tent and that opens up a spot for Ty?

Masterpool will make Star regret that decision.

So is Star throwing Shane to the curb. I know they were trying to change the eligibility rule and keep him on the 250 but now we’re hearing something about him on a Suzuki? Wasn’t he slated to ride the 450 for star if the 250 thing didn’t work? This is a big story line which is not being talked about

Shane getting the hole shot multiple times and dropping like a rock along with his mechanic putting please try on his pit board. Seems to me that Shane has kicked himself to the curb.
I couldn’t agree more. I just find it so hard to believe how fast Star went from believing in Shane so much that they stole him from another team and trying to get him to be eligible for the 250s to kicking him to the curb. Not a Shane fan either but Star seems brutal. Yet they will give ten rookies a shot. Those same rookies will get one year to prove themselves, fail due to insane pressure, loose their ride, get picked up by another team, do mediocre but have a few breakout rides, get given a chance on a factory team again and win a championship or races.

Who has been kicked to the curbed after a year/turn into a championship or race winning rider in this statement?

I used to support him but I have always despised sandbaggers, they need to stop this bullshit somehow. Maybe make a 250cc under 21 pro support class. And then an open pro class 🤷‍♂️

Someone should photoshop Star racing pop-up tent next to Star camp J-marty in it.

He just didnt want to ride SX last year, I thought he was going to give it a go this season?

Id love to see Ty race MX2 aswell. He is young enough & would be a good fit with Geerts esp with watson moving on

Second spot is already signed by Renaux.

By not racing the premier class.

It's not Jeremy's fault, but he should be racing a 450. 2 x outdoor champion, enough said....like I have said before he should have been forced up in 2017after not successfully defending is title in 2016. I know the rules don't state that he is forced up, but shouldn't a 2 x outdoor champ start taking a stab at it on 450??

Ride for a team and make money or move up to the 450 class as a privateer and spend money?

Tough choice.

Racing motocross professionally is their job, not their hobby. Can't blame him.

If he was forced up he would have found a ride. Might not be for Factory Honda, but he would find a ride. JGR or somebody would find a spot for him. Quit making excuses for our poorly run system that allows riders to milk out a career in a secondary class.

MXGP has it right in this regard.

Edit:I have no ill will towards J Mart, I just want to see the best racers racing in the premier class that's all. I know others may not share the same opinion as myself on this issue, but we are all entitled to our opinion. Just want to see good hard racing and I know JMart can bring that outdoors on a 450.

I'm not making any excuses. That's just how the system works. He had to sit out some SX races in order to keep being able to make a living riding dirt bikes.

Would I like to see him in the 450 class? Yes.

But, like I said, it's their job. No one's going to move up to make less money.

That's just reality.

If it was mxgp rules looks like Jett would have won the championship at 17 yrs old Seeing the top 3 ahead of him are 25+ 😜 .. on a serious note though yes this is their job And we aren’t in Europe with age caps ect if there is no 450 Rides and he has option of a good 250 ride let him stay, this is their income ,their job that they only have a short amount of years to earn what we do over 30 years .

I would say anyone who intentionally stays in a class lower than where they fit in is a sandbagger, i truly believe that if he’s racing 250’s again he should be wearing a jersey made from hessian (sandbag). Honestly I believe the guys coming 30th in the 450s have more self pride, and guys like Reed that are happy to keep racing the real pro class even after there ability starts to fade are the true icons.

Anyone who stays in a lower class than where they belong is a sandbagger in my book.

Exactly the same as a local a grader winning c class.
