I disagree. I think modern gear designs are better than ever. There are more options for clean gear now than at any point in or sport's history. I like clean gear, but I also like flashy gear. My latest purchase is a bit more on the flashy side and I think it looks badass. To each their own. Only have pics in it riding mtb.

I feel the same way. I bought three sets of this retro Thor gear last year.

Run paint.exe, create graphics in 10min, put it on 4$ jerseys made in china, sell them for 40$. I should start my own clothing company.

Shift has really made some clean designs over the past few years,

There's too much going on with gear design, trying to be flashy or colorful for the sake of attention grabbing, the early 2000's had some pretty clean designs, and some really great " flashy " designs like Stewards zebra gear, or Ricky's iconic orange kit.

I look at some of stuff Alpinestars has put out, or the terrible color ways thor has used and would never spend my $ on that.

You know how many times I looked at RV's gear like WTF when he was racing?

Almost every other weekend....................

There is some stuff out ever year that looks horrible imo and I see guys at the track wearing it. I have never had a problem finding something that i like even though i feel my taste is in the minority.

I have always tended to lean toward black, white and sometimes a splash of red in simpler patterns but I got a KTM last year after being on honda's for forever and I ventured out in my gear selection also. And to be honest I'm digging it.

Motos today @goofus16 place was a success!!! #braaap #ktm250sx #2strokelivesmatter #doseofdirtwasjustwhatthedoctorordered

Couldn't agree more! That early 2000's 360 gear was badass

This is my primary look for 2017. I think it looks good and clean.

I always thought Erik Kehoe looked cool. Nobody color-coordinates with their bike anymore; seeing a guy on a green KX while wearing a red jersey, black and yellow pants with zig zag patterns, and an orange and pastel blue helmet looks stupid to my eyes lol.

You can find good designs if you look hard enough

Oh yeah well no shit. It's a clown suit. I remember I wore a jersey to HS when I was a freshman and some chick destroyed me for wearing a corny yellow polyester shirt that I paid $60 for. And she was right. MX designs are a year or 2 behind actual fashion so to speak. And yeah now it is pretty much assymetrical neon vomit. Original Shift gear was prolly the best of all time.

Don't get me started on the casual wear shit they try to peddle. Besides the corny designs and awkward cuts the quality of the stuff is GARBAGE. I remember getting jeans out of the fox catalog that fit like shit and were below Walmart quality.

I'm absolutely in love with Seven gear. You can combine their stuff from 2014 to 2017 (pants-shirt) and still look cool. Fox never dissapoints too. Only downfall is the prices. But the quality is unreal!

Thumbs up on that setup. Love it.

How is the fit on that new SE4? I wore a medium in the previous SE3. Is sizing similar?

I'm the exact same. Currently in the Alias A1 and have been very pleased with it, especially for the price. I just grabbed my son some TLD stuff and I'm really impressed with it too. I'm looking for something a little more "subdued" and classic looking so I'm probably gonna grab a set of either the Fasthouse or the TLD retro.
