The word is that former American Honda team manager, Dave Arnold is putting together a new HRC-backed Honda factory race team. Dave has been working in the background with some of the Honda satellite teams in the past year or so and is in the process of building a new factory race team. It may also have some connectivity to the Crossland Motorsports team that Guy Cooper manages.

I guess the yoshimara/suzuki. Yamaha / JGR rich suzuki experimts worked out so far , a good way for the factory's to get more bang for there dollars if these teams can bring some outside money in all they have to supply is equipment. And tech support , time will tell if mx. Can stand on its own 2 feet

I can see a Crossland racing HRC team with a spot for Bogle and a (Tomac like) rider. Sounds like one of the main reasons Tomac left was a lack of focus on his program from the team, so maybe Factory Honda has realized that a 3 rider stable spreads them too thin, and making another landing place for top riders will give them more assets to devote to a riders program.

It makes sense on a lot of levels. For Suzuki's part, having Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing and RCH Factory Racing have been good for results. Those teams are both full-fledged factory teams with the same level of support and even the same race shop, but they are pretty fierce rivals. Each one wants to be the #1 squad on the bike, so they race a little harder.

yes, Bentley runs a pretty good team too....be interesting to see who they could attract rider wise

I dont see ML512 or GuyB rubbishing this rumour so it could well happen

Definetly be interesting to see if they can nab back Webb. With him and Martin's rivarily brewing, it would make sense for Webb to distance himself from his biggest rival. If Reed can't get the second Yamaha team up and established quickly enough I would expect Webb to jump brands when he makes the leap to 450s. And I could see Honda opening the check book to replace Tomac.

Interesting choice with Webb, but that would be a year away, assuming this new team wants to be up and running in 2016 as the rumour suggests then Bogle may well be one rider, and assuming they have two riders, then who is the second? MStewart?

So they sign Bogle, and get Freddy Noren to hold a spot for Webb until 2016. Sounds like we've got this figured out!

It's basically the perfect fit for Bogle. The team is based out of Oklahoma and one of Bogles best friends (Nichols) is a 250 rider for the team.

I think Bogle will be a solid top-10 guy in the 450's, maybe a little better in SX. I don't see him fighting for wins, though. This is a wild card, but I'll throw it out there. Roczen has a 2-yr deal with RCH? 2016 will be the end of that contract. Honda needs to reach into their checkbook and sign him for 2017 and beyond. Basically do what they did with RC in '02, only not fuck it up this time.

Nothing against Bogle, I just can't see him winning in Supercross or Motocross on a "450". Maybe has a shot in
Supercross, time will tell.

The Honda truck was the only truck in the pits to have more than 1 rider winning a 450 main event this year. They had 3 different winners. Things look fine from the outside looking in.

So, If I was making the decision to sign Bogle to the HRC Factory Team on a 450, IMO he will never be
be as good as Bagget, Anderson, or Seely, even when he's healthy...

2016 Supercross, I have Stewart, Tomac, Canard, Roczen, Dungey, Reed, Barcia, Peick, Anderson, Bagget &
Seely ahead of him on the "450"...

I forgot Moose too...

I've been in Canada (off the grid) for the past couple days, but hadn't heard anything of it until this.

Don't forget Musquin. But all of those guys are under contract, except Tomac. I'm sure Crossland Racing would be ecstatic to pick up factory support and a top 10 rider that is local to their operation. Not every signing has to have championship implications.

I see your point, if HRC is backing a effort, a rider that could give good feedback, could test new
products in race conditions without being expected to podium...

I think HRC would want to find a home for a rider that won them a championship. The factory team is full. If Geico doesn't want a 450 team, Crossland makes sense given the existing relationship. Assuming what Bauer says is correct.
