Now I can go to the track without borrowing my parents truck. 1990 toyota 4x4. Going to need new tires soon and need a lot of cleaning and small detail work, but It runs great. Can't wait for long days at the track. When I can afford bike and truck haha.

Looks like a clean little pickup. That's all a guy needs.

Sweet truck man. My first was a 1988 Ford Ranger that I got for $500. It was one of the cheap ones, no power brakes, no power steering, 5 speed and rubber floor (no carpet). All that mattered was that it got my bike to the track.

How are you supposed to win without this?

Love the yota, looks like it's beyond clean.

Nice truck, my first truck was a 83 toyota, vinyl interior and a breeze to clean inside, just open the doors and hose it down.

Just some advice to safe money for the track, when you replace the tires, go with a shorter width tire. I really like the Nitto Terra Grapplers. I have a F250 Crew Cab FX4 with about 35,000 miles on the Nitto's and still go plenty of tread left, plus there is no road noise.

congrats and enjoy

Those tires look new compared to the ones on my pickup right now. I could get another 5k out of them bitches.

Enjoy the gas sipper, I drove one just like it for many years. They're damn good trucks.

Great Truck. That has the 22R engine if I remember correctly. As long as you keep some oil in it, it will probably out live you.

One of my favorite trucks was my 98 tacoma 4x4. Traded it in and got 2000 for it with 350k on the odometer. I wanted 2500,, the guy at the dealership said no way, what am I gonna do with that its got 350,000 on it?. I told him "drive it for another ten years". Lol

Your truck looks good!
I loved my 1981 Toy 4X4 and my '83 CR250R.
Great race combo in 1983!

Sick Truck, I had a similar rig but older back in the day, check and see if your engine has a timing belt or chain. If its a chain I would pop the cover and take a look when they go, they can shell out your motor......just keep it on your radar if your high high miles

Thanks guys I have been looking a long time for one, the ones I could find within my budget were either to far gone or got gone quick. This one was on craigslist for 4 hours when I called and he said his phone had not stopped ringing. The guy said the last one he had sold in under 15 minutes. They are incredible trucks, im selling my 2005 Toyota Camry with power everything, sunroof, and black leather interior because I have always wanted a truck. And honestly even though I am giving up alot, I am so excited to finally get one.
It has 195,000 miles, the engine has been rebuilt with only 60,000. It is 5 speed and has a new clutch. The interior is a little dirty but in great condition, no cracks in the dash and only one small tear on the back of the drivers seat and the head rests have popped open from the heat. the extras are, it has a new radio, wench on the front that I am going to get rid of, a valley tow hitch, and a new chrome back bumper. Payed $3300 for it.
Im hoping to clean up the up close details. it looks great standing back. Give it a tune up. new non mud tire, something like BFG all terrains nothing to chunky because it isnt exactly the most powerful truck. The wheels that are on it are good, but maybe one day get some bullet hole Mickey Thompsons or Pacers. I would like to put some better speakers in it because im use to driving newer cars. Do some Blue factory graphics on the side and tailgate. Window tint and finally some moto stickers in the back window (not FOX). Im happy basically how it sits but over time those are the things I would like to do.

Josh422- Nice but im not looking to win, because then I would have to move up to race C class, them guys are crazy haha.

newmann-sorry I ride a Yamaha right now, hope to get a KTM one day, but i think i want to do a dark blue factory graphic on the side, the one that is kinda like an upside down Nike swoosh, and Toyota in blue across the tailgate.

Bultaco- Yep 22R engine, it already has out lived me, it is 4 years older than me.

I (okay, my boss, Brad) just picked up a Tundra before I head out for the Summer tour. Tres and wheels are done. Now I need to add graphics. Here's the first crack at it.

The Tacoma that got traded in had 183,000 miles.

An old guy I know had a '92 4x4 with the original battery in it summer 2005. It gave up that winter. They just won't quit.

Don't take this the wrong way, but for some reason I see these trucks around here with girls behind the wheel alot.

I had a 91' King cab 22RE. I beat the shit out of that truck and it never gave up on me. The harder you ran it, the better gas mileage it got. I would give my left nut to have another one brand new. I sold it in 2005 and it had over 450,000 miles on it. Funny thing was, the spedo was unhooked for 2 years back in 99 - 2001. I'll never in my life have another truck like that one. Especially with the POS money scam wagons they are building today.

Congrats man!!! Toyotas are the best, they go anywhere, are reliable as could be and are easy to work on. This used to be my dad's and now it's mine with over 200K on it.

Guys' Toyotas are looking great!

Congratualations to the two young guys who picked up some real clean older rides and I look foward to an end of the Nationals vehicle review from Guyb on his new Tundra.

I think it would look better if the graphics were about 10% bigger

That thing looks clean for a 90' !!. I have a 92' with 260k miles, an 03' with a 135k, and a 2000 Tundra that just turned over 280k. Not easy miles either, overloaded pool route trucks that go up and down hills all day and see very little love. Treat it nice and it will go for years. Congrats !
