Hi guys, not so long ago someone made a topic on here, talking about Suzuki testing a 125 at Glen Helen. And this is what I stumbled upon today (check it on swapmotolive on Instagram)

I hope they sell these as a full bike like that and not just as the kit.

I can't tell, is that the old engine, or a new design?

I would say “kit” in a 250f frame. Check out that silencer mount in the first pic.

Ignition cover looks to be of the older models.

It's the old 125 engine placed in a new RM-Z250 chassis. It's a project the US Suzuki crew has been working on, I've been told multiple times it's not destined to be a complete bike but a "kit" of sorts for their amateurs to compete on.

If Suzuki could do what KTM/Husq does and use the same basic geometry for the chassis of the bikes with small things changed to accommodate the engine used in it I feel like it would be a huge incentive for someone who wants a 2 stroke and 4 stroke from the same manufacturer.

Head stay and radiator spigot look homemade.
It's a fucking Picasso, Bro!

The factory Suzukis in the late 70s early 80s had hand made custom parts, banana swing arms, etc that made them look so trick.

Suzuki won’t make a complete bike, they have history of dropping the ball.. I wish and pray to sweet baby Jesus they will make a complete but ya know it’s suzuki.. BTW I have been a Suzuki guy for 20 years... and loved their 125’s..

Looks like home made AF conversion to me. That silencer bracket and head stays doesn't look something that comes out from the Suzuki factory...

I don’t think that Suzuki would use screw type hose clamps on their factory bike with what looks like fuel line from a lawnmower...

Why is it so hard for them to realize there is a market out there for a production version of this?

I'd put a deposit down tomorrow at my local dealer for one.

I said when they changed the frame to a center exhaust port design and then split the frame perfectly for 2 stroke pipe. The 125 and 250 is coming or at least the motors are.

This thread reminds me a lot of the YZ65 thread before it was released.

Don't know about the USA, but over here at every club, amateur or pro event >25% of the bikes are 125cc. It's not that they don't realize there is a demand, they just don't want to serve this market.

At least they realize they fucked up.

And that puts them a step ahead of Honda.
