Blah blah blah and why no mention of Trey Canard when he ran into Vince no harm no foul?Woohoo
Vince is owed a few hits, Canard is known to be aggressive, but riding aggressive and having a guy go down and straight take outs are 2 very different things, even if the result is the same. I came up through the ranks riding with a guy who likes to make contact, and after getting punted 3 times in one race trying to go by I realized that some riders need to get roughed up to learn a lesson. When I'm battling him, I don't care if I hit him because he doesn't care if he hits me, other riders I have respect for, and I do my best not to make contact with them. Of course rubbing is racing, but that doesn't mean its mandatory.

Ever since the incident with Peik, Vince has cleaned up his game considerably let it go man the past is the past.

The incident with Peick wasn't that long ago. Just because he hasn't punted anyone since doesn't mean he's a changed man. He has shown many times in the past that as soon as things start going downhill for him, riders start getting hit. Its one thing to cling to the past, quite another to recognize a pattern.

I edited my original post. Unedited it was immature on my part with the name calling. I remain a non fan but do apologize for the way I expressed it. My bad.

I am not a fan. Any racer who punches an innocentt bystander in the face at a race is no professional in my opinion.

It's amazing to me how short motocross fans' memories are!

If this is what you are referring to I would like to know which one is the innocent bystander, the one grabbing his face mask or the guy chest bumping him at the same time?

I heard on the internet that VF is stepping it up with the hopes of landing that plush Rocket Exhaust ride next year. Whistling

Was impressed that he won all the Pro classes at Mammoth this year...not easy to do. Just throwing that out

Every interview I've seen of Vince, he seems totally chill, down-to-earth and actually likable.....even after he was taken out. I think maybe he was a little aggressive in his earlier years to the point that now he has a reputation and he can't get away with what the average person does without catching a lot of flack. I'm a big Weston fan but after seeing Vince's responses in his interviews.....I'm a fan of his too!....and then I hear what was said after that heated LCQ with the Hahn bros...very cool! This is supercross, not tiddly wings!

Vince has proven himself by being at the front of many of this year's races even last year.

It's his reputation that people can't get over for crying out loud it's Supercross there's hardly any room to pass and he's racing the fastest Supercross riders in the world major props to him!

Right on Gary.. Smartest thing you've ever said.

Vince has 4 good races, and now he is crowned the new privateer hero? Wow. I'm not buying yet. There's and old saying "One 'Oh, Shit" erases 1,000 'Attaboys'", well how many "Attaboys" erase 1,000 "Oh, Shits". I don't think Vince is there yet. His shenanigans in Canada earned him a whole lot of Oh Shits, and I can't believe that he didn't get suspended for hauling ass through the spectator area at Ulverton. His reputation is well earned and he has a very small sample size of not being an ass; amazingly enough, it follows him getting punched in the head. Maybe there is a correlation.

What exactly higher level team are you referring to? MCR has got more podiums and success than any other non supported team in the pits. For that matter they've had more race success than some of the factory supported teams.
Don't know if you noticed but their bikes look great, never break, pull starts and are very well supported. All that combined with the fact that I'm told Genova pays well and treats his guys like gold. Im told his guys love to work for him not to mention that the team is rock solid financially and structurally.

Two observations:

1. People have favorites, and it is like arguing with a religious fanatic if their favorite rider is criticized in any way. Their rider could be caught on camera biting the head off of a baby, and they would defend their rider.

2. People enjoy mobbing. Few people here even know Vince Friese. He's fast. He's racing the best riders in the world. The tracks are often one-lined. Riders push each other high in the turns or off the track.

And the final comment is that there is no such thing as objectivity it seems. All of this is subjective. Why is Canard not hitting other riders not dirty but Friese's riding is?

There is a double standard that exists.

Nice one there buddy. And how bout things like factory Suzuki injuring Metcalf due to forgetting to put gas in his bike!

Looks to me like you're still in the beginner class if that's your level of objectivity and comparison..

I noticed you didn't put up much of fight to your ridiculous statement once the pics were posted of him getting his neck twisted off by that dip stick. And of course you better think twice about screwing with Vinny cuz he will do what's necessary and it might not be pretty. Just ask the guy who thought it was appropriate to attack Vince on the starting line.

I am a fan, of his riding. Never met him or anyone who knows him. His riding skills are pretty darn good and to me his ability seems to fly under the radar, yet he is in the show each and every week.

I didn't put up a fight because I don't spend 24 hours a day on Vital. I posted, and believe it or not, went off to do other things! I just looked back on the post right now and see that things blew up. Looks like some posts got deleted.

All I "know" is that the guy he punched in the face was some family member of Leib. Maybe I shouldn't have written "innocent." Either way, the whole thing shouldn't have escaled to that point.

Why does Friese always seem to attract all of this negative type of attention, (ie. fights, etc...) and then says it's not his fault? No other riders, that I can think of, get in these types of positions with so many different riders.

Canard seems more like an aggressive bone head rider than a dirty rider. He appears to make really poor decisions on the track in the heat of the moment sometimes.
