The fastest Supercross rider looks like a basket case
Who”s riding the #3 Kawasaki.?
He just let his SX Supercross go right by him without a fight.
Can’t be the bike, can’t win one week and look like a totally
different rider the next.?

He better figure it out. He just f#%*ing gave up after Webb’s pass. Literally gave up after he had been catching Marv with Baggett. I’m so disappointed as a Tomac fan right now.

1. Arm pump. He was taking his left arm off the bars when jumping. Rewind the broadcast and you can see him do this a couple times.

2. The KTM's are fucking fast this year, man. Watch them out of the corners or after they hit small jumps. They are able to keep so much momentum when that rear shock is under load. It's nuts.

3. Tomac just doesn't seem comfortable on the bike overall. Probably why he's getting arm pump trying to keep up with the KTM's.


Sad to see as it would be nice to have another dog in the fight, as I don't think ol' Marv has enough to catch Webb and make the title hunt interesting.

I think the other thing that could be playing on Roczens mind is the effects of seeing his brother in law paralyzed while riding

ET3 seriously needs to go see a sports psychologists, sometimes boosting your performance requires sitting on a couch. I like the guy but am really tired of the inconsistent performance. Tonight was just terrible.

I’m not bought into the sports psychology or head case crap. Hard packed track none of those Aluminum bikes looked very good. Roczen not so good either.
Reed said in his RDL interview comparing old champs Carmichael and Stew to today that was sort of harsh but rang true. 6th year for Tomac no championship. Ouch. Is it likely to ever happen?

Watched him reach back and pull up his pants over the triple right in front of us. I thought you have to be kidding me. Less then a lap later he is getting passed.

When you go from running 48/49 sec laps to 51/52 after Webb passes you that isn't an Aluminum frame problem. That is either a mental breakdown or bike issue, I'm betting the first.

It’s part of his plan for 2019. He’s using the Dungey approach. It’s what I heard here 2 months ago.

To be fair. He had a injury early on.

That’s very true forgot about that.. one can only go so far before fear starts to set in.. roczen almost lost his arm.. and later in life he’s going to be hurting like a Mf with all the hardware he has in his arm..

Eli wasn't confortable on the track, finished with a 4th place which is not bad. Tracks have been easy in the most part of this year so its hard to charge and pass people that are already running the maximum pace

It looked to me like he was over riding a hard pack track like he's done many times before. Maybe from feeling the pressure and knowing he has to start logging wins. Coming into corners too hot and getting on the gas too early or too hard. Not keeping the back tire hooked up very well. Not efficient. After many laps of hard charging/over riding and gaining no ground, he was getting frustrated. When Webb got him back I think he just gave up and settled for 4th. Maybe he got some arm pump as well from riding like that. Whatever it was, it's Tomac. Not surprising.

His bike looks "stiff" to me, just doesn't appear to be flowing well. When he is in his groove and dominating, his suspension appears to be in mid-upper stroke and he can put it anywhere he wants, and still get traction...he needs to find his magical settings again like he did a couple years ago when he turned on like a light switch.
