I had 7 in my garage until the Warden snapped. Then there were 3 (2 sons and me) plus her car. I should have sold her and kept the bikes

True, lol. I did post my 77 XR75 in the Old School section the other day, check it out. Going to try to post some of my other ones as the race season starts slowing down here. Although I broke a couple bones in my shoulder during the last moto at MidOhio Vintage days a few weeks ago,so my race season is probably over depending on my surgeons schedule, lol.

Only 4 right now but at one time I owned over 20. Mostly older z50’s I ended up selling the whole lot dirt cheap because I didn’t have room to store them at the time. I wished I would have kept them now especially the zb50. That thing was so cool looking.

I’m not even that bad. I only have 20 at the moment 😂. Lots of vintage/collector bikes, I actively ride 4-5 of them.

I have a dual sport, a trail bike (technically its the wifes bike), and a 98 yz250 im restoring. Ive always wanted a yz125 and i catch myself starting to check craigslist "just to see whats out there". Same thing happened with my other bikes. Its going to turn into me checking CL every couple of hours until "well this deal is just too good to pass up".
I also know Id love a new 250f. And ive always wanted to restore an early 90s cr250. Plus I have a toddler, shes going to need a bike in a couple years
Thats already 6 bikes.

Is there such a thing as having too much dirt bikes?
There is a simple mathematical formula for how many bikes you should have....it is.. N+1r
N = the number of bikes you have now.., +1 means...plus one more..r = repeating. So that means that the equation repeats continually.
I presently gave for..that number will rise exponentially...

Not really sure. But when I was heavily into vintage racing, I had 13 1981 Husky 430cr's. I won't bore you with

what bikes and how many(it would take awhile...). Bare in mind this was when old bikes could be had for the asking.

Those times are long gone and vintage bikes went the way of used two strokes now.

5) 04' RC51
6) 99' DR650

6 bikes for me back in like '05, 3 moto, 3 street, just 3 moto now.
Neither... mine is blue (well, the stock tank is anyhow). Here she is, working on some mods over the next year or two that will really make it super trick.

What do you think of your 18 450?

I am considering a ‘20 CRF next year (leftover). Love my Kawi but other than the dark ages of CR alloy frames, always been a Honda guy.
I don’t recall you having Kawis, so how does it compare to the 07/08 era CRF (completely different era, but since I’m familiar with those it would be a benchmark).

Over 84 60's and 70's vintage bikes....all makes. During the recession I sold them off in one large sale and some select deals. Didn't want to, however a prudent analysis of the cost to store vs future value proved to me that those costs far out weighted the future value. Tough decision as there was some nice bikes in the collection. The large sale went to a broker. who more than likely had great connections. Yes I have tons of pictures.....

Current bikes: 2017 501, 2019 450 SXF, 2016 350 XCF, 1995 CR 250, 1997 400 Husaberg, Monarch 125 and 2 real nice trail 90's....a 2020 300 TPI is on the way....

The 18 is a very good bike. The whole package in stock trim works really well engine, chassis & suspension. There is no comparison IMHO to the carbed CRF450r 05,06 & 08 owned. Those were good bikes for that era, but technology has moved on & surpassed those bikes by quite a bit. I haven't owned any newer Kawis, but was considering one as well as a YZF450 for 2020. Both of those bikes (tested 19 models) feel bigger & heavier to me & have awkward ergos vs. the Honda. Neither one of those bikes turn as well as the CRF & the YZF has a weird feel to me probably due to the backward engine config..

Decided to stay on a Honda for 2020 since the 18 R model was very good off the showroom floor. I'd highly suggest riding one if you're considering a CRF450. Don't listen to the nay sayers about set up on the new 450 I felt it's a matter of finding a good sag. The new chassis turns amazing & is stable at high speeds.

Eight for me right now. Some are project bikes I bought to work on, but most are bikes that I built when they were current models and couldn’t bare to sell for next to nothing, so just parked them for occasional use when I bought a new bike.

1989 CR250 (two of them)
2006 RM144
2008 RM125
2009 KX250F (ex PC/Canidae Supercross Bike)
2012 CRF250
2012 CRF450
2018 150SX

Storage is getting a bit tight in an old stable.
