I wish I could find some of these old beasts.

I passed on a mint, low mileage all original green RD400 about ten years ago- before the interest in classic japanese bikes hit a fever pitch.

Passed on it for $1200. lol. kicking myself.

Would like that swingarm. I need of a swingarm I could use with a set of RZ350 wheels on an RD 350.

Nice find Newmann. It looks like the emission system is all there too. I've got one that is close to being completed. Only part missing is the linkage arm that connects the vacuum actuator to the butterfly valves. Don't think I'll ever find that piece since everything else is 2V0 is hard to get.

Basically the same engine. I know I’ll catch a lot of crap from you guys for this but I love riding it. I don’t track ride it just a woods toy. Pipes, reeds, porting a head work really wakes the engine up. It’s an absolute blast to ride. Don’t worry, I’ve still got my YZ for moto Wink

I worked a lot of atv nationals back when those banshee were popular.

Hearing one that was really tuned well get on the pipe coming out of a corner would make the fillings in my teeth hurt.

As fAR as the tz bikes go, it is hard to think about them without thinking of kenny roberts.

That guy was one of the most amazing people to ever throw a leg over a bike.

Watching him battle Spencer at Daytona , 500cc vs 750cc was amazing, and flat tracking a tz 750, holy crap.

Different gear ratios, no power valves like the RZ and that tors stuff. Not sure on port timing but I'd assume that's different as well.
