As a Kawasaki District Manager I got to see it up close a few weeks ago. You KX owners that have been struggling with the air filter for a few years, you are gonna love this new design! Also, the ODI clamp on's are very welcomed. Those old grips were so hard to take off the clutch side.

The leader in the class, took these two small steps but several big steps in keeping the KX450 the leader in the class.

They sound sick.

Ktm-ified

brembos are a welcome change to me, the nissins are so grabby. Traction control, Bluetooth mapping, straighter intake.

bet they gain a bunch of power.

curious if they’ll release a sr version of these.

These are some big changes. Everything many were looking for and then some!

If they finally updated the fork setting after five years of us all complaining about it, I'd be quite happy. Laughing

It might sound strange, but the smooth bodywork is my favorite new feature.  No more catching my knee on the radiator shroud!  Beyond that, my 2019 KX450 is by far the best bike I’ve ever raced.

$10,400 MSRP, wow.

The 2024 KTM 450 SX-F is $11,099.  Unfortunately, the dollar doesn’t go as far as is did a few years ago.

No more using a wire cup brush to remove all the little bits of rubber left on the handlebar after cutting off the stock grips 🫡

Tool-less, side panel air filter access, ODI grips, Brembo brakes... I feel like I've seen this before Smile

Kind of weird that they kept the Nissin rear brake, but overall this looks like a great package. Great looking bike IMO too!

Has any manufacturer ever used two different brake systems on a production bike just curious?

I think it's more common on street models (someone correct me if I'm wrong).

At least they're not improved by BNG and plastic! Kawasakis have always looked heavy and bulky to me. They ARE better looking, but the changes listed are pretty major, so hoping it'll stand up to the Yamaha and others that have pushed to the front of the pack.

I’m all for making the forks and shock better for everyone, but what percentage of people don’t revalve or respring or both? 15-20%

It's probably way more than that.

I ain’t a green bike guy but dang thats a sharp ride.  Wonder how the engine changes will effect power band.   They hit the mark on looks.  They will sell a lot just on looks.

Another model switching to the cam chain on the right hand side of the engine.

First KTM, then Honda, now Kawasaki. What is the benefit of this, anyone have any ideas?
Its more complicated to remove the clutch cover, clutch & crank end gear than it is to remove the ignition cover and flywheel to change it.

It’s like Kawi copied the good things from the yahama(tuner app), ktm ( no tool air filter change, brembo front breaks), and Honda( engine changes). I’m not mad at it.

I think I’m going to splurge and go for the SR when it comes out.

Leader in the class? Your offroad bike can’t even go 50 miles.

I really like all the changes but damn 10,3 is plus  dealer fees is huge. As I say that I will buy one I loved my 2 19s I had and cheaper than what I have in my 350 lol

Will keep my 2022, and probably get the 2024 - unless the 2024 RMZ comes with e-start Wink
