It's been 24 years since their last round, might be a good 'toe-dip' for Jett & Hunter?

The Northern Territory Government’s Northern Territory Major Events Company paid Infront Moto Racing.

MXGP may need to allow jet skis to enter!

Why do i find it hard to believe this viewership number?

The MXGP is an exclusive opportunity to showcase the Territory to an international audience, reaching 727 million viewership across 180 countries; attract domestic and international visitors; and deliver on priorities from the NT's Tourism Industry Strategy 2030.

Im thinking the ole NT pollies fell for some Mafia accounting, no surprise with aus politicians.

An interesting location choice, that's for sure.

That 727 million is annual viewership, divide by the 18 rounds...over 40 million per round

for the aussies in here,  do you reckon many will do the trip up to wild card?

its not like its 2001 where they got prizemoney, and qualifying money.

Awesome, but yeah Northern Territory is certainly an odd choice. There’s not even a national level race held there. Anyone know what track/ venue they’re proposing?

The GP in Darwin will be in September 2025 through 2029 with an option to extend the agreement for another 5 years.

A better question is whether many spectators will make the trip.

Darwin only has a population of around 200,000, and it's not close to any other large population centres.

Have only seen the Supercars at Hidden Valley on tv. Is it a good venue?

No idea, although given that it hosts Supercars it's probably got the right infrastructure,

Doesn’t look like it’s got much in the way of elevation changes, but should be more than capable of hosting the event. Couldn’t have made it much harder for Aussie riders to attend though.Be interesting to see what they build.

i know,  thats why i wonder if they will go,  add $1000 plus entry fee and i can't see a big number doing it,  it will be interesting to see if they teams send riders like they did for Broadford,

I could see the woman supporting it more

In before the Paul Hogan memes...

Seriously, I've never been to Australia nor New Zealand but given the interest in the sport from these two countries, there should be a GP there every year.

I've raced a couple of superbike races at the road track, forget about the spectators, just the competitors & officials will overload the town.

I was 46 years old when I found out it’s only 2 hours longer to drive from Melbourne to Darwin than it is to drive from Brisbane to Darwin
