Hey guys, I know there are a lot of new and old people on the forum still and even from Teefus days end beyond. Meaning, we've all been around for some time!
I was beyond lucky to ride and race with Danny, ok obviously I was the Kawasaki 50cc/60cc rider but I still parked with Danny in the Pro class and I was only 6,7,8 years old riding for Kawasaki Offroad at the time.
Speaking of which, REST IN PEACE Casey Folks
Man, offroad racing is so damn fun with camaraderie and the hang out for a day and 1 half. It's not so cutthroat, everything is friendly, and helpful, wants you to make it make to the pits and accomplish your day. that was the coolest thing to me. Casey and crew were so dang professional back then!!
Anyways, the moral of the story is I've printed up a stack of Danny Hamel stickers id like to share the week or 2 after Christmas/new years,
If you are interested let me know. All I ask if send a prepaid envelope and i will take care of your!
I'm in on this. You're the man! Danny Hamel was my childhood hero.
I'm in as well - Danny was the man when I was growing up in SoCal racing D37! I will proudly run that sticker....
That’s awesome, I’d love a couple
Super cool, count me in
The Shop
One of the guys responsible for my obsession with the KX500. Can’t believe how easy he made it look. Never met him, but I’ve talked with some people who are tight in the community and they say nothing but great things about Danny.
In. I got 2 of those back when they came out, one went with my old motorhome and the other one is still hanging tough on my old (now my sisters) trailer. I don’t remember what year we lost him, early 90’s ? Off duty federale pulled in front of him during the Baja 500 if I remember correctly ? Thanks for reprinting these count me in.
In as well for a couple. Danny made going fast off road look so easy and effortless.
you couldn't have said it any better my man
To everyone else, I will save this thread. I just got done moving the print shop and will be firing everything up in the next few days.
I got you all covered. He really was, THE MAN.
Pretty sure it was 1995...
You're correct.
This is a good read for those interested in Danny.

Still got a set of DH1 Triple Clamps on the shelf in the garage.
That bike isn’t in pro circuit anymore. As of today. Unfortunately, I wonder where it went?
I still have an original of that sticker.
I have an original of that sticker also. And a pipe mount and some pegs off one of his practice bikes. Friend has owned two of his old bikes also. Used to ride all over Nelson Nv area. Before I knew that’s where he grew up riding. It’s a bitchin place to ride bar none.
i would have to dig long and hard to MAYBE find one.... but its not going to be in the best condition. Crazy to thing its still a really cool looking sticker too!
Count me in for a couple! Had one of the originals on an old toolbox years ago!
KX500 IN THE HOUSE!!!
I'm in!
Hey, I’m down for a few, Danny was the best there ever was. As a youngster racing d37, i would love a sticker or two.
Dennis, shoot me your contact info
Pit Row
I had an original and put it on my old Dodge Dakota. And I dont put any stickers on any of my trucks.
So count me in for a few as well!!
I would love one or two. I started a couple bikes back from him on that day. Never forget riding by him while he was on the ground/street. He was like a hero to me. I remember staring at him the night before in the riders meeting like a teenage girl. Sad day.
In as well if there are any left!
I grew up in Las Vegas in the 90s. Danny Hamel, LR, Ty Davis battles were so good. I remember hearing that he would chase jackrabbits to train. We would try that too, could never catch one!
Many MRAN races in Nelson area @toomanykaws . Very pretty area.
BITD nowhere near the same as when Casey was running it. Daryl and Bryan just don't have the same charisma unfortunately.
This showed up on my facebook feed. When KX500's ruled the desert. Checkout the names on this list There's some fast mofo's in there. 25th place for instance...
heck yeah guys its really cool to see how many people want to continue supporting his legacy,,,
i was so damn young i didnt realize how much 500s were a part of offroad racing. that is just an entirely raised level
of racing when youre flying through the desert on 500cc, or chasing down the flag at the end of the bomb run starts, different
breed of guys... you can tell too, by the way most of these guys walk these days unfortunately to.. they beat the hell outta their bodies!!
OKAY!! PLEASE READ IF YOU WANT STICKERS
I need you to please EMAIL ME at order.rawjah@gmail.com with the subject line Danny Hamel
ill print out quite a bit free of charge, but I need to figure out the shipping process, please.
I'd love a couple,
My original was on the door to my trailer, sold it to my brother.
E mail sent.
I just realized…you’re right up the beach!
we chased the desert racing scene back when Danny was still kicking everyone's asses. one year at the Utah national H&H we parked right next to Danny and all I can remember is getting up and getting dressed for the mini race (i was on 80's at the time) and here comes this tall old dude in ultra-short jogging shorts and a windbreaker back and forth past our truck/trailer. dude's outfit was lifted right out of an 80's exercise video. it was Danny's dad. he took me over and introduced me to Danny, he signed my shirt and hat (still have them) and gave me a stack of signed posters. i hung every single one of them in my room, i bet there were 30 of them lol. mom thought i was crazy, why so many of the same exact poster?
after my race we were hanging at the first check-point marking fenders and you can't see anyone but all you can hear is a 500 wide open and sage-brush flying everywhere. here comes Danny, mark his fender, he yells out "THANKS! SEE YA AT THE TRUCK!", and hauls ass out of there. it was a few minutes before the next guy (Ty Davis) came through, blew my mind how far ahead he already was. the guy really was the best there ever was.
Danny was a class act.
UPDATE! I GOT PORCH PIRATED FRIDAY WITH THE BOX OF STICKERS!
I was able to confirm with neighbors and my office finally, and it looks like the porch pirates took the box right off my porch! I am getting some new ones rushed out, courtesy of a friend at another graphic company - I am in the middle of moving my shop to a more convenient location.
we are shipping them directly from norcal now so expect them in the next 4-5 days. I am so sorry about this mishap, and whoever stole Danny Hamel stickers, can kiss my ass. You better blast them everywhere and not just throw them away you criminal!
Ugh. Hate to hear it. I’d like to get some, he was my hero when I was a kid. We lost him way too early.
That is so lame, F those guys.
Keep us posted, I'll be happy to send an self addressed/stamped envelope and a few bucks for your trouble.
