Is there a.pic of the landing anywhere ?
I would think there's several people on this website that were actually there that day. I'd be kind of cool to start naming the people that were in that photo.
The Shop
Looks like the guy on left with blue/black shirt was telling Kehoe to twist it.
From what I remember he was out of position and was trying to get to the finish line and just stopped and hit a couple of what he expected would be throw away pictures. Instead, he ended up with one of the most iconic pictures in all of AMA motocross history.
Side note: How many people in moto history can say they "Posterized" Jeremy McGrath?
Not a fan of RJ after he took out Kehoe at Unadilla in 88…. Totally unnecessary… I wonder if they ever talked about it afterwards? Kehoe was railing on that 88 RM250J 👍
I've seen this picture a bunch of times, and read the back story from Buckley, but I've never heard Eric talk about it. Does anyone have any inside info from Kehoe himself on the launch or the landing? Or is there any video of the jump? My back hurts just looking at that! And did the wheels survive?!?!?!
Paul sells his old school images from time to time, reach out to him.
I believe was for the Moto win! He was going for it!
I used to have a recurring nightmare that had me in this kind of situation, but fortunately I would wake up right before I landed..
such a....Bliss-full photo...
I got a new more Moto Photos sitting in my hard drive...... soon.
Major Tom
I was there that day and took this picture.
Haha.....perfect response! 😄
I always loved that pic. The definition of full send.
Post a reply to: Eric Kehoe, just a Refresh for the younger ones.
