Anyone try Rdrco gear? I know it’s Motosports in house brand. I’m a bigger guy and sick of wearing plain black O’Neal and msr pants/jerseys and Thor is laughably bad quality. Has anyone tried the Rdrco stuff and if so how is the quality and fit?
I’m size 40 / 2X in moto gear and I find the fly kinetic line to be the best for me
I have a set of rdrco gear.. for the money you can’t beat it..fit is good and the quality is pretty good also..
I bought a set last year. I am 195 and 5-10. It feels like the crotch is too short. I can barely swing a leg over the bike. Quality and price is great though.
What exactly about Thor is laughably bad? Thor and Alpinestars are by far my first choice. I don't like my pants made out of parachute material, but that's just my preference.

I bought a pair of the thor pulse blackout gear. The pants run small so I ordered 2 sizes bigger and they were still tight and didn’t fit.. im a 32 waist so I got a 34.. should of got a 36.. quality isn’t that great.. very thin pant material.. I’m going to stick with the rdrco gear..plan on getting another set of gear real soon.. the old thor gear was great..
That fly gear is sweet!!
Looks great on Carson Brown. I loved the Blue/Orange he was wearing at the local track this past weekend.
I just purchased my first set of this gear. I’ve been searching for something that fits my thighs better as most moto stuff is tight in the leg for me. Searched for reviews and didn’t find much so I’ll come back and post the fit once I get it.
I just saw the new stuff they released. Looks better than last years stuff. Let us know how they hold up.
AM Gear is good. Hands down more durable than anything else I've worn. Fit is dialed, not skinny or baggy. Uses some stretchy material but only in the right places.
I like their stuff but got like 5-6 rides and the pants started separating. Maybe they’ve improved in recent years
I just got the Rdrco Vapor Air combo. The pants are true to size and seem good quality. The jersey was too small and I had to get a size larger. The Vapor Air is thin with lots of cooling. They will be great for summer riding.
Like the seams came apart? I've only had that happen at the knees after a year or so of use.
I bet they would have sent you a replacement if you asked. It's a small company that makes their gear in house, so they probably would want to know about any quality issues.
I also wanted to add that I got a set of True Mx gear. The True gear is really good. I bought the True Trilogy Urban Camo.
I bought Rdrco pants and Jersey a while back. It was cheap and I’ll buy a freight train if it’s on sale. Pretty sure it was a near drunk buy. What I bought wasn’t vented. I doubt I’ll wear it anytime soon. Looks like decent enough gear for the price. I may look and see if they have anything vented on sale for cheap. It gets pretty hot and humid around Houston Texas. Vented is pretty much all I wear.
I’m a bigger guy and bought a few sets,
2 out of the 3 pants, the buckle broke on me. I’ve never had any other issues with any brand. It is nice to have some color for big guy gear tho!
Moose stuff fits true to size . I'm 6'9" and 320-330 . I wear a 40 or 42 regular pant like from Carhart etc. The 42 Moose qualifier fits like my regular pants. A little loose and when I'm at my lower end of weight I could wear a 40. They have a nice option for bigger guys that want a high performance gear now with the Alpha line. It has more stretch materials and is in sizes that fit bigger guys better than what Thor has .
The 2025 and newer Thor Launchmode gear is drastically improved fit wise . I have a 44 in the old style Pulse so I got a 44 in the new gear since I wanted to compare size to size. And the 44 Pulse was so tight I would likely not wear them very often. The new Launchmode pant in a 44 fits great and is similar to the way the 42 Moose pant fits. I could probable wear a 42 in the current model . The 2025 and 26 Launchmode pant and jersey is the same fitwise as each other with only the designs changing.
I would suggest anybody who had trouble fitting in the Pulse gear line try out the Launchmode line now. They made the pants much more roomy and fit true to size. The fit is more snug than the Moose , but that is by design.
Thor has a ton of colorways in the Sportmode gear 15 or so current BUT they do not have any stuff for bigger guys a 38 is the biggest they offer now, not as many options in the Launchmode , but a decent selection with 2 vented colorways and 6 standard colors. If You find leftover 2025 stuff its the same fit as the 2026 . They have pants up to 44 and jerseys up to 3XL in all of the colors of Launchmode and the Launchmode Air.
Final thought is that if You ride in the woods, buy the cheaper gear or woods specific gear from whatever brand You decide on . Its going to be thicker and not rips as easy on branches. The higher end stuff from every brand is thinner and easier to move around in, but it is almost always much less durable. So often the entry level MX gear will hold up the best. The midline is a good compromise between comfort ,flexibility and durability , and the high end is more about movement and feeling as unrestrictive as possible as far as MX gear .
I'm not as knowledgeable about the woods specific lines. I have only sold a little of it and it is clearly built to hold up better but not vent as well and is less stretch material normally.
As far as the Rdco gear goes, I have some jersey's I'm lettering right now for a customer and I was surprised at how thick they are VS the brands I sell and normally work with. One of the sets has the gold metalic on it and that is a thick vinyl feeling heat transfer like material. One of the heavier feels. The customer has had decent luck with his gear. Melted 1 pair of pants in a crash, told me he replaces the jersey's pretty often though . That they rip easy. But that's just about every brand right now. Crash or tree branches and You get rips. He has been wearing his for about a year now and has 3 sets and said he replaced the shirts 1 time and 1 pair of pants from a crash. He rides at the B level in J-Day offroad stuff . Rides a couple times a week too so he has a good amount of hours on them.
No Rdrco Gear experience here, but I'v had very good luck with 2 sets of FXR gear 40/XL with mostly woods use. It has held up great. Very comfortable and a loose fit. As someone with big legs I have no problem with fitting knee pads underneath. Both sets are Clutch line I believe and purchased cheap as close outs from the previous year.
The gear came in today. I must say the pants fit great and seem to be of great quality. Seems durable yet stretchy. Had three different adjustments for the pants(one on each side and zipper). I was very very surprised with the quality for such an inexpensive gear. Similar prices to fly f16 but quality seems much better.
The jersey runs athletic fit so if your fat get a size larger. It’s very thin and will be a great warm weather jersey. It’s thin so I’m curious the longevity of it. I definitely wouldn’t run it in the woods.
Overall I’m very pleased with the quality. It’s very comfortable and seems to be good quality for the price point. I’ll come back in a few months to say how the longevity test is going.
