Hey, I have been trying to find where to buy one of those muc-off fxr hats that Nicoletti wears in his interviews. I have tried the obvious places, but no luck so far.. anyone know the best place online for rider merchandise? Cheers.Screenshot 20240118 204301 Samsung Internet.jpg?VersionId=L77fP.djkxjBPbMvx7

We get a lot of threads of dudes asking where to find hats... Sounds like the teams are missing a trick 😂

It’s messed up that riders can’t sell stuff at the races.

AMA used to have a rule where riders could not sell merch.  Maybe that’s been long long gone?

Its still there, if a rider wants to sell merch it has to go on the merch truck.

Are they all allowed to sell out of their pits now? If so, that’s great news! I haven’t done the pits for years, but if I can hand a privateer cash for a shirt or a hat then I’ll spend the time to go.

How much of a cut does the rider lose?

They have to go through the same steps as any other vendors.

Every rider in the paddock that wants to sell shirts should do their own VIP thing. It costs like $25-$30 and you get a free shirt for signing up for the VIP thing. Tell Feld and the stadium to suck it.

I hear you, I guess what I’d like to see is the promoters just relax and let the riders sell stuff without jumping through any hoops at all. Maybe include a vendor permit with the race entry fee if they have a boner for paperwork/permits?

Speaking of merch. Why do the Lawrence merch at the races cost the same as Gucci and LV?

Because Honda

Something’s gotta pay for that whole Lawrence Merch setup thing to get from race to race…

Easiest way to do it without jumping through any hoops is to have a vinyl banner made with their merch website on it and post it up in their pit every week. It'll never be the windfall for privateers that some here think it would be, though.

I know selling shirts isn’t gonna make a fortune, I just think it could make a few hundred dollars a week for guys that run on a shoestring budget. Maybe make the difference between sleeping in the van and getting a room for a night. And it’s instant money, nobody needs to pack and ship stuff, no depending on a friend/family to run your store. If a rider had a great day, or a heartbreaking day, the fans could easily put a quick grand into his pockets.

I know this probably will never happen, the promoter class/factory guys are in the business to make money from the show and they make the rules.

Most riders sell stuff on their own website if people want to buy it.
