If you put a fully PC tuned 327 next to a fully tuned 450 right now, I’d take the 327 without a second thought. There should be videos of RV riding the 327 soon.

Dear Mitch Payton, Please build a fire breather and strap Kitchens skinny ass to it at Lorettas on the off-week. We need a "demo". Thanks - Pretty much everyone

Apparently dirtbike magazine was the first to build a kx327. The fact that they also picked that number must mean thats the biggest you could get from the stock kx250 engine. They took a 2003 kx250, used the stock crank, and modified it for +4mm stroke. Then they bored out the stock cylinder and used a 74mm wiseco piston. That got them to 327cc. https://dirtbikemagazine.com/kawasaki-kx327-two-stroke-project/ Listening to weeges interview with the kawi guy he said the vision is to create more models of 2 strokes in the future. I’m sure that means a kx250, because if you can go up...

Aside from FI, what are you referring to? Just over $9K is a deal with today’s prices IMO

Yep, I realize it makes it easier, that's why I used the term "conveniences". But the market seems more interested in those these days than it does in the philosophy that ruled the off-road world for decades - lighter, simpler, cheaper. But a lack of it doesn't spoil my ride if I have to kick my 2T on the side of a steep, slick hill after dumping it like trying to kick a 4T does in the same situation (I almost left a '98 YZ400F in the woods one day because of that exact scenario! 😄). Like Andy7 was saying...

If you want to increase viewership of the pro races, you have to increase turnout at local tracks. People who ride, spin laps, and have done some local races are the ones who watch racing. Sure some wives and friends watch to but they only did because the guy who races or rides got them hooked. The way to get more people riding and racing is by fixing amateur racing and fixing the local track designs. Make the tracks safer , more forgiving, more fun, floaty forgiving ski jumps, fun hip jumps, fun turns, less jumps, less risk, more fun...

This. Heavy watering may be required for now to keep the dust down and local residents happy. But they didn’t have to mess up the first turn by spreading the slop all over it.
