Solid picks for Team USA all things considered.

Anyone else find it funny that the actual  Team USA thread is only 2 pages and the one about Deegan out for selection is nearing 10 pages.   🤣

I'd say the Deegans game plan is working pretty well for them.  I don't hate 'em for it but I'm not a fan of it either.  The kid is a rocket and damned exciting to watch.  People are people and it is what it is.😉

Well done for stepping up young man.

I really good about the team. Hymas has shown that hes got that top end speed in him to run with anyone. Now having it cconsistently is another story. But on a given  day hes got it and it wouldn't shock me to see him kill it

I wouldn't be surprised if Chance wins MX2. Definitely going to be in the top 3. (Weather depending)

How similar is Matterly to Unadilla? Chance ripped there until that sniper got him

I think the team thought they wanted Tomac.  I think he did just good enough in their view to offer him a spot.. I think Tomac did not think that he earned it.  Had he beat AP I think he would have felt good taking the spot….but Eli doesn’t want to take it from AP if, in his mind, AP deserves it.  AP will kick ass along with Sexton and Chance.  When Chance showed speed late in the season, before the hard get off, I felt he had leveled up to every bit of Deegan’s speed.  I think as he learns to take less soil samples …that Deegan is in trouble.  I look forward to watching Deegan try to defend the outdoor title next year.  Not sure he can.  Also, these three guys would be awesome to hang with.  Don’t underestimate cameradarie helping produce better results.  I am 100% behind this team.  Kick ass team USA!!

…sorry about your guy Deegan not stepping up.

But next year, when the event is in Deegan- friendly territory, you can count on him to be there…

That's a good take. ^^^^   I'm just a fan of the kids riding/skills....I don't care about all the other crap that people seem to get so spooled up about...sad.   Even sadder, it's a bunch of older guys doing it.

He can always fix his ACL after his riding career over if it's not giving him any pain.

Kick rocks dude. If you're sad, go see a therapist. The majority agree with you.

Better team then usual. Certainly not our “A” team but Only the Dutch/South African team appears to be firing on all cylinders but the South African has a minor injury but by MxDN time they should be 100 percent.

For me he has become a nice blend of Canard and the Lawrence brothers on the bike.

With his riding in Colorado and Dilla he has proven that he is a great option for a european hard packed track where finess is key.

It’s rare to see americans talk about the rider that is best suited for the given conditions. Often the talk is about the fastest rider in the US, but when the race are helt at a place that don’t reflect the american conditions people should start to think about that instead.

At a track that don’t favour WFO riding style like the ones in France, a rider like Hymas and Cooper could be a better option than a rider like Deegan that seems to struggle when it comes to those kind of conditions.

Same as Matterley this year, if it becomes a mudder, AP could still be a better option than Tomac that have killed the bike multiple times in the mud.

Our team finished 3rd (Sexton), 8th (AP) and 18th (Hymas) at the Charlotte SMX round today. Not the best look. Hope our guys work out whatever kinks they have before the MXoN.

Chance will be lucky to get one top 15. Maybe top 4 in the 250s realistically, at best.

AP hasn't exactly been clutch at the three times he has already been there

Chance will be a career 250 rider. Deegan will win 450 titles. No comparison.

Everybody was worried that eli was going to improve exponentially each week from his return until mxon and it came true… unfortunately its too late now. AP and Chance completely flopped and Eli and Deegs looked incredible. Hope were not F’d.

Look at the bright side…when you consider USA nationality Chase got 2nd, AP got 5th, Hymas got 14th.

Don’t think about the Eli and Deegan 1st thing. It’s dust in the wind. Unless AP asks Eli to go since he is injured from the practice start crash.

Firstly it’s another month away on an MX track, not a supercross track.

Second, both Eli and Deegan removed themselves from selection so not sure what the alternative was.

Chase and Chance will be fine at MXdN.  AP I'm more concerned about. Having said that, today's race wasn't representative of their capabilities on an outdoor track.   It's like comparing apples to oranges.

Today was not supercross. It was flat fast motocross.

Edit to add to the other part of your comment: Deegan pulled out because Eli pulled out. Eli pulled out (in my opinion) because he didn’t want to anger the mob for taking the spot away from AP who has melted everyone’s hearts (and livers) this summer.

I would love an alternate reality where we could say…NEVERMIND! Eli and Deegan are going. 🤣
